View Full Version : Londons burning down

Anyone seen it on Sky News, BBC News, Sky Sports News? Reported to be the worst hooliganism seen in thirty years. Getting proper nawty down there between Millwall and West Ham. Guess we all knew it would kick off.

Bet you everyone in Britain whose "up for it" from whatever club will be down there tonight. If a Rangers firm travel down to a Celtic match in Manchester while a Hearts firm travel down to a Rangers match in Portsmouth it's always going to kick off when it's Millwall vs West Ham.

Millwall fans are all just a bunch of thugs.

Police have even banned City fans going to their stadium and Millwall fans coming to ours. I remember Shauny (SWP) scoring his first goal at their stadium and he had no fans to celebrate to, so he went to the empty stand and celebrated infront of it with Goater clapping his hands. :P

lBlue
25-08-2009, 08:53 PM
That West Ham bloke who made it 1:1 to take it to injury time is thick as pig ****, celebrated infront of Millwall fans. /facepalm

Guess what happened eh? PITCH INVASIONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

West Ham 2:1, Millwall fans back on the pitch pmsl.

1000s on the pitch.

Back to normal.

Seats going on the pitch.

Still kicking off outside the ground.

Can I get the job as a Sky Sports news reporter yet? Only way you get to watch it without a ticket.

Geraint
25-08-2009, 10:15 PM
Hardly helped when they're both in the same city. You can't make the game a bubble. Looks like Millwall fans just turned up without tickets just looking for trouble and they were met with West Ham fans who had done exactly the same thing. What happened inside is nothing compared to what's going to happen outside. It'll be even worse than before the game. It'll go into the night. Half of these aren't football fans, they're probably just went for a scrap with a slight connection to one of the teams. Probably would have been less trouble in the league though as all the STs would have been there and not just anybody who could get their hands on tickets.

Millwall fans could have jumped the wall if they wanted to. Police were mainly in between the fans with stewards between the fans and pitch. Stewards are going to do **** all. West Ham fans could have go to the West Ham end but didn't probably due to the lack of police. Anyway, if I was a Millwall fan with that rivalry, I wouldn't like my chances on that pitch with all them home fans around you. Always the same at football matches, they just stand off and then people from behind push, just like the scenes with the West Ham fans and people from behind were pushing.

I doubt they'll go to the stage of banning fans just cutting the allocation. Cup games mean nothing, sometimes they bring out the worst because teams haven't played for a while. We had Swansea away last year for the first time in 9 or so years.

Okay then, believe what the cameras are showing you, what's been shown on TV is nothing, trust me, the large majority of the fans causing trouble were Millwall, read the reports on the Sky News website, WHAM fans were running round scared because there was like 3 Millwall fans to 1 WHAM fan (even though WHAM were at home), and someone actually watched 12 Millwall fans beat up 1 WHAM fan who wasn't their to cause trouble, and then they had to run off because they started chasing him.

Millwall were the MAIN ones behind this, yes it was both, but I bet my bottom dollar that Millwall were the main causers of all this ****.

Just the usual after-match stuff. Throwing bottles at police, singing, dancing and running away when 10 coppers run up the road into 200/300 people.
What matches do you go to?

Its about what happened before and during the match that will result in possible fans being banned from each others stadiums. Many fans at that game are already in threat of having bans on going to anymore football games from their actions yesterday, if they get caught.

It was disgusting what happened last night, and I hope the FA do something about it to be honest...

Maybe the "usual" bit was a little confusing. We've moved on from the past. In the past it wouldn't have been toe-to-toe fighting in the street not this throw bottles at police lark that we're seeing now. There was a bit of fighting between fans before the game but after it was just the fans running from police. They're all going to get bans for life but this isn't going to mean much for some. Lots when just for the fight, it isn't going to stop them. Fans turned up last night without tickets just for a scrap, if they're banned they'll probably do it more. Personally, after seeing lots of footage of what happened I don't think it was too bad. In the ground, the fans just run on the field making no attempt to get at the Millwall fans after realising they could easily do it. The pushing part in the corner was just fans from behind pushing.

Maybe, I'm seeing it differently as I'm Cardiff fan and I'm no stranger to trouble but that's how I see it.

I understand what you mean now. Its just I hardly see any violence after a game, infact maybe not even once? Thats why I find the incidents of yesterday really bad as I've never really seen anything happen like this at City, even when we were at Maine Road. (waits for Matt to prove me wrong) :P

I can't remember the Chelsea game. :( I would have been 8 at the time, and I only saw about 10 games the season before as I started to watch City games.

I do remember the Birmingham game though in 2007. I'm suprised I couldn't see myself at the start of this video, as this is wear I walk up the stairs to leave the game lol. I think I left a bit earlier before it all started to really kick off, as I can't remember it being that bad before I left. I do remember singing 'Your just a small town in Walsall' lol.

He means doing this ' /facepalm ' instead of the image - he has been doing it a while but I don't think it has © :P You have two green' 'online' lights according to my computer - wow that's neat. I couldn't believe that trouble

I know it's not copyrighted, but I've never seen anyone else use it before, so I thought i'd 'make it up' and since then people have started using it. :P

And yeah, football has moved on, it's just these Londoners you see. :8
