How can you view .PHP files that are on your desktop?

To view them running you will need to setup apache on your machine.
Get this: http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html
Install it in C:/ or the default.
Once isntalled go to C:/xampp/
then open xampp-control and start the umm top 3 services.. apache mysql etc. You don't need filezilla.
Once you've started them all, copy your php file into xampp/htdocs and then go to http://localhost/phpfileyounamed.php

Ok so I tried to open it and it automaticly tries to download the file, I stated Apache, MySQL and mercury. the only one left is filezilla and Tomcat which seems to be disabled.. should i be ticking the Svc boxes?

Done - but my browser is trying to download files so i can't view.

Where are you viewing the file ?

I have tried with MS Internet Explorer and Google Chrome :S

No you couldn't. You need localhost software installed.
