Like what most people have said, tell us where you want it because i could say loads of back tattoos and your getting one on your leg.

However, i really like dragon tattoos and will be getting one on my back soon. Tribal is nice but only works if you are bulky otherwise it looks pathetic, stars are nice ( i have them ) but are going out of fashion, names on the forearm is more popular now than ever. Infact, names in general are popular. Crosses are always nice to see but i think you should only get a cross if you have a faith. I wanted a cross but dont have a faith.

So yea.... oh and, depending on your career path, dont get a visible one ( visible where clothing isnt, i.e forearm ) Reason being that people judge you and think the wrong things. I work in a pub and the last thing you would want someone that your taking food to is to be thinking look at at all tattied up, disgusting. Some people will think like that.

So it depends on career, like me, i want to be a policeman, cant have any visible. so back, legs and abs is about it for me, or if you become famous and get loads of money and can retire at 30, get w/e.

Just my little bit of advice - one more thing, if your asking here for ideas it probably means that you dont know what you want in reality and that your probably like omg thats nice, i want that to every tattoo you like, but if you get one that is what you like but not what you picked, you will regret it.

Example, i show you a dragon now, you like it, get it done, you wont like it as much as if you went into a shop and said i want a dragon laying on grass with my name in japanese underneath it or w/e <- if that all makes sense

Tribal doesnt look right unless your big.

Well get something you really want becuase youll have it forever.
And I wouldnt advise getting a huge tattoo for your first one.

did you read the update?

Nobody can fall asleep during a tattoo unless they are anesatised (sp)
