Ok, so twice I've stretched me ear (I'm not on my third attempt).
The first time I went straight to 3mm and it got badly infected so I took it out.
Next I put a 2mm in the other ear, guess what, BLOW OUT !
So (after about 6 months) i've gone back to the first ear but now I'm going up in little sizes.
So now I've gone from 1 to 1.2 to 1.6 and I was thinking of going to 2 from there then 2.4 then to 3.
Has anyone stretched their ear here?

how can i prevent infected ect.?

Put something like savlon or germelene on it every nown again to keep it protected and moist. Should help alot.

what's the appeal in having a hole in your ear? :S (other than the one you're meant to have)

Always do it slowly and with clean jewellery. Mine was at one point up to a 10mm I think (far bigger than I'd have it now if I stretched it again) and it took a fair while to get there. The biggest mistakes people make are stretching before the initial piercing has healed and trying to go too far in one go.

Cleaning it with a simple saltwater solution is far more effective than many people give credit - so many just think of it as optional but you're lucky if you get away with not doing it, and it really can make a difference. It also helps dramatically if you can manage to not knock the piercing, as any disturbance will just alert your body more to the fact that something's there that shouldn't be, and your healing will go overboard hence blowout.

Technically she already does.

Yeah I think it looks intimidating and unsightly. :)

I think it looks good, until it gets too big, then when you take it out you look like Buddha Ears which just sag.

Anticeptic creams should do it though. Alkaz said.

i'm not doing it to have massive buddha ears.
i just want them up to 4mm (which isnt big at all) so that I can put a little plug in.
that's not gonna look disgusting is it?
I'm at 2mm atm, I know I stretched wayyy too quick, I left the 1.6 in for about 2 days then went straight to 2 but it's fine. it hasn't become a blow out and it went in quite easy, it stung a little bit so i stopped then left it for about 5 minuites then tryed again and it was fine :).

i'm getting my cartilage pierced tomorrow, EEEEEP.
