Fresh new fansite? or reopen SkyHabbo?

Well Josh contacted me last night and is intrested in reopening skyhabbo, skyhabbo had such a good start and was a good fansite, just got over shadowed by hosting problems and hacking.

I contacted him and said i feel we should start fresh but base the site around a forum with a resourses site and a radio site.

I WANT YOUR OPINIONS!

Domain: .net don't open SkyHabbo everyone's bored of Fansite Rebirths. Your chances of survival in such a big market are slim so make sure you think of something pretty special .

Opening a forum is stupid.

You'll have like 10 active members, and with the possibility of a new member making that 11, or (for example) coming on here instead, which do you think they'll take?

Offer something unique. Just so you know, that's not asking people to give you all the ideas.

This is just something that's been at the back of my mind for a while. I've been thinking about whether to pursue the fansite dream as, if it's put together well, chances are people will like it. But I don't see how, with the likes of HxF already here, anyone can expect to get a new forum going with a strong community.

Occasionally I see one or two new ones that have gathered maybe 30 or 50 members, but I don't see how the owners could have much higher hopes. Personally, Habbox and HxF are the only fansite and forum I use (aside from an occasional peek at Puhekupla or something posted on another forum). I doubt others use many forums at the same time either.

I'm not trying to be critical here, I'm just curious really.

I'm not sure you've made a decision yet but just incase you haven't I think you should re-open a fresh new fansite because you opened, yet had a kinda bad start (with all the hacking and that). But this time, stick with it, ignore the haters :).

You should buy a .net, they are just better. open a new fansite, rebirths are bad, like stated above and I wouldn't open a forum, nobody will visit them because HxF and CH are already booming theres no point for another one. And I would even open a new fansite unless you have an original idea behind it, theres too many fansites...
