"DJ AM was found dead at his New York City apartment at around 5:20 P.M. Friday, August 28, 2009. He was 36 years old.
TMZ reported that friends called the police, who broke down the door and then found DJ AM's body. Before the police broke down the door, they noticed an odd odor coming from his apartment. Sources say this may have been caused by the drug use. Sources said drug paraphernalia was found in the apartment."

He was an amazing DJ and what he done with Travis Barker was also amazing.

If you didnt know DJ AM and Travis Barker were a musical duo who played in a lot of clubs. A few months back Travis and Him survived a plane crash and got their musical career back on track, he was found dead in his apartment at 36 suspected from an OD.

RIP, I cant believe it, he survives a plane crash and then dies from a self-caused death :(
