Ok so I'm going to get a controller to play games on the pc (along with a nice new joystick :))

Anyway I personally dislike Xbox 360 controllers, but I may have to put up with it, unless there is a decent working driver to use PS3 controllers?

Anyone know if there are any downloads around??

If you are running XP you can get the PS3 controller working.

Logitech.com <-- They make some nice ones.

I'd just use the Xbox 360 controller as it works natively with the majority of the games released these days so it's just plug & play.

the xbox contoller is alot more spaced out than the cramped ps3. and when your hands get sweaty it's holding a wet bar of soap

Really? I have always thought the opposite, with the 360 controller being a pain in the ass to hold lol :P

If you have a PS2 controller, buy one of these cheap adapters.

How many games would a PS2 controller be adapted for though?

All of them. The PC recognizes it as a normal controller.

May I ask how those cables work wayne? I mean if your controller is already wired..

Does it just make your lead even longer?

The cable end is what you plug your controller into, then you plug the usb into your usb port. The cable end acts like the controller port on your PS2.

I have a Saitek joypad and I absolutely love it and I've never had a problem with it, go for that! And it lights up :P

But some games like TF2 actually advertise it supports a Xbox 360 controller. Why on earth would you gimp yourself by using a 360 controller lol?

But if you say wanted an Xbox 360 or PS3, why would I bother paying for another games console if I can play the exact samne games, with the exact same controls on my own pc? :P

You obviously have NEVER played FSX. Trying to play it without a joystick is close to impossible. Also it's downright stupid anyway...
