And I was wondering why don't we have a Elite Rooms section on the Forums?

Last I knew they were trying to cut down on the amount of forums they had, rather than adding new ones. However, this isn't a bad idea - maybe there could be a stickied thread within the cool rooms forum to avoid the issue of creating another forum that won't be used all that much. :)

Hmmmm, yeah I know who would pick, maybe the council members, they spend a lot of time on habbo in council and just habbo, so that would be good.

Hmm, people who are in the top 10 for reputation and posts. Nah, the community AGM could be involved in it. Should be a community/PR department that organises things like this and other fun events - staff awards etc :D

The problem, as said, does come to who choses the rooms. Every likes different kind of rooms and has different opinions. Like, I've seen threads on casinos where someone says 'i don't like it, it's too repetitive' and then someone else saying 'i love it, everything goes well together' so that's the part that wouldn't work well imo :P

It's a nice idea, but it won't last. People will get bored and lazy when they realise the normal cool rooms area gets enough decent rooms anyway. The Cool Rooms forum does all the leg work, and it's the members who do it to show off their rooms :P

I think there should be a vote like every month where everyone votes for there favourite 3 rooms, or less :P.

That forum isn't anywhere near active enough to need an elites section :rolleyes:

I would disagree there - it is a very active forum with many threads a week with usually over 100 viewing a room. Some of the rooms get over 500 views.

Most forums everywhere get many threads a week and over 500 views per thread. Doesn't mean we have a leet sites section in 'Technology and the Web'

Well they have one in Graphics which is comparable although it doesn't seem very active.

There's that question but also how would they be chosen?

If whoever is doing it favours huge rooms with lots of stacked furni cluttering it up, other rooms such as Lana's Coffee Shop (just an example), would be ignored even though the simplicity of that room is part of what makes it amazing. If it was based on nominations (people posting in the thread they think should be elites, saying so) then it could work.

If you want to be really ambitious, maybe a 'Room of the Week' type of thing could be done like Habbo used to do but obviously only consider the rooms in the Cool Rooms thread?

Like Jake said it would only be a bit of fun anyway so my vote is also Yes. Nice idea Mick :).

Then people post their rooms then say after a week it gets closed then someone picks however many become elites for a while etc.

In all seriousness its rather difficult to gauge the elite rooms whereas its easy to distinguish elite alterations. There are room designers with a very high caliber, yes, however there are a LOT of people at that level. Especially given that its Cool Rooms I would say a larger percentage of Rooms would be "elite" as compared to Alterations.

I agree that this would be something that someone takes on then everyone else forgets about once that person leaves :P

To sort the issue of who chooses them, if the room wants to be in the elite sticky or w.e they should put a poll saying "Elite worthy?" and have a week of votes... if it has more yes than no then it goes in elite :S
