Lonely patches

Not sure if this is the place to put it, but whatever. Was just wondering if anyone who is single ever goes through lonely patches. For example, most of the time I'm totally content with been single and then every now and again I go through a week or so where I think I need to find someone cause I'm super lonely.

So, anyone else have them and if so what do you do about them?

I don't really do much when it happens. Maybe watch a few extra chick flicks and eat a few more tubs of cookie dough. :rolleyes:

Yeah thats true, times like this alcohol and friends are needed.
Yet if you're skint then its just the friends.
They are free, for most people.

I think for most people it's like the way to solve it is to get into a relationship.
But I'm happy been free and single I just get those times when I feel like it would be good if I had someone to talk to and be 100% comfortable with where there is a bit of chemistry.
Or is that just a relationship? Aha :P

I prefer friends tbh. I only get really lonely if I've not been out at all for a week or something which isn't often the case, and I find it far better to simply have friends that you're comfortable being around than to look for a relationship. Never underestimate the power of a good hug :P but also don't mistake being comfortable with someone as having a thing for them

I think everybody gets them sooner or later. I think the best way is to just talk with friends, They will make you forget about it in an instant. And some people do get in a relationship because of 'lonely patches', but is it because they actually like the other half, or because they dont want to feel lonely?

Yeah, I suppose that is kinda like rebounds aint it.
Cause people feel lonely after a loss of relationship so try to recreate it

i haven't been single for a while but i remember i used to get them and they suck but when i was with my friends even without alcohol they went. So yeah i wouldn't rush into a relationship because of these because in some ways that can leave you feeling even more lonely.

yeah, i think it happens to everyone who is single for a while. they go through a period of feeling lonely and they want someone. they either make the effort and get a partner, get depressed or just go out with mates more.

No, that's just a best friend :)

then again, better to have em there than not at all.

Start seeing a girl then, that way your still single but if you feel lonely you have someone you can go too. Tis what im doing.
