The full post would be helpful as that doesn't reflect the full picture.
Posting any private information without the other's consent is against the rules.

I think it's just common sense. Obviously, nobody can comment on this individual case because like Rosie mentioned we haven't seen the post where this edit was added on to :)

You added to the edit, whether it is correct or not doesn't matter. That's not in the rules.

Thanks. :)
And Jake you're not going to be able to see as it got edited

Which was my point exactly. You can sort things like this out better by PMing the Forum Manager. However, he has already shown you the rule which you violated.

Right, let's get this sorted.
Rule:
A5. Do not post private details or information – We do not allow you to post private information about yourself due to security concerns. Disclosing any information about another forum user without their consent is also not allowed. This includes:
Private messages
Reputation comments
Private conversations (MSN, Habbo, etc.)
Images / videos of the user or social networking profiles (Bebo, Facebook, etc.)
Trying to organize real life meet-ups
It is also not allowed to give out the personal details (specific address, phone number etc) of anyone, forum user or otherwise.
You are, however, allowed to post pictures of yourself, although they are NOT allowed in your avatar or signature.
Her edit isn't breaking any rules at all.

He is actually posting on behalf of mwah. This was a sticky one and what he posted could have easily been used by adding hotmail.com etc. Actually on reflection I do think that maybe I have personalised the edit too much but it was a long hot busy night. The rule is there though - just added to which sometimes is done to explain it further to the member.

No, it's not posting personal information when it is blatantly fake. Nor am I posting on behalf of Mwah, I post on behalf of everyone who gets unfair infractions.
Thanks. :)

People would moan at over editing or under editing, lose lose situation so it's just people trying to kick up a fuss about losing access to the forum for a few days :)

Well perhaps the poster should think about that before posting next time - mods cannot take a chance on it being fake. We have no way of knowing.

Moderators cannot take the chance whether private details of other members is fake or not. The content would be removed for a precaution anyway.

*Confused*
Am I right in saying that Adam is appealing that infractions shouldn't be awarded for giving out fake personal information?
Surely he's right? I mean, surely I can't be infracted for saying Immenseman's date of birth is the 1st of January 1901, when we all know that he's not 108 years old...

I know of nobody who gets unfair infractions, I only know of people who moan at their infractions because they break the rules too much and don't learn their lesson. :eusa_whis
And besides he did actually post her email so it was breaking the rules.

Taken out of context though. It evidently wasn't that unequivocal.

If it's common sense then surely can't a MOD just remove it temp. as a pre-cautuion, then PM the member it concerns and ask if the personal info is correct?
I know MODs send PMs to members asking if they find a certain post offensive before dealing with it, can't MODs ask if personal info is correct?

Thanks for posting Ryan - I actually did know it was the correct mail but couldn't say so because Amy 'denied' it so edited that way so as not to embarrass her. In any event it wasn't an infraction/warning it was a pm.

Yes, the MOD's can easily do that. No warning or infraction was given on the post like I have said above.

Use common sense and stop moaning at something which has already happened. It's a forum, let him serve his time and get over it. You're almost as defensive with mwah as I am with Amy. Which is pretty worrying.

Right,
There's a two side story to this.
Amy - Says its fake
Ryan - Says it was fake but now it's real?
Then of course the others who say its fake anyway.
I don't know her personally, so which one is it? :/

For the sake of honesty, its fake. Sorry for lying, but tbh there could've been any chance that it might've been real out of a pure guess... because she loves me 2k9 <3 Sorry Catzsy :( LOL.
and btw Catzsy was probably only acting on what she's been told, so blame it on mee.
