Call of Duty Sub-Forum

I believe this has been requested in the past but right now I think it's time for a sub-forum dedicated to Call of Duty in the Console gaming section.

There's a stickied thread (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=522193) dedicated to three games (Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty WaW and Modern Warfare 2) serving all three games consoles, Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 in the Console Gaming section. The stickied thread has a huge amount of posts making it virtually impossible to find anything useful in it especially when any new threads about Call of Duty are merged into the this thread.

Bare in mind that most Xbox 360 and PS3 players on HabboxForum play at least one of the Call of Duty series and a lot of the discussion in the console gaming section is related to Call of Duty in some way. Modern Warfare 2 is widely predicted to be the biggest game release this year and Call of Duty 4 has consistently been one of the top online games.

And that's why it warrants a sub-forum.

Oh and also the "Jokes Section" may as well be renamed to just "Jokes" cause generally you don't add "Section" to the end of each forum name. Also "Tourism, holidays, vehicles and transport" could be shortened, leaving out either the "Tourism" or "Holidays" seeing as they're pretty much the same thing.

Agreed, I believe this was suggested when I was FM and I said "wait 6 months or so and we'll see if its still popular". Its been that long and its still popular, so yknow :P

ye its gonna be bare mad when modern warfare 2 and they'll be such a range of topics that it would be stupid to keep it to just one thread on it.

Is Call of Duty on multiple consoles? It might be a bit of a bad idea making a sub-forum, when Call of Duty won't last forever as a huge, exciting game series constantly getting threads. It is, afterall, what the forum is for underneath Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony. They could all just go in that forum, when the current discussions aren't exactly important (from what I can see). It is a bit stupid keeping the discussions in a sticked thread though, especially 3 games :P

The discussions of Call of Duty on this forum have been going on almost 2 years and I think there's a definite future for it considering one is still to be released in November. Like Alex said, it isn't something short-term :P

Maybe instead on console developers have the game publishers too. So keep sony, microsoft and nintendo and add the large ones into their own section and have the smaller, less known games published into one called "other".
So like Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Activision, Ubisoft, EA and Other. Something like that.

If something is unsuitable for the forum it's OK to have a stickied thread about it aslong as you don't have a sub-forum about it? :rolleyes:

The OP's idea sounds pretty reasonable as I also believe the series will cotinue being very popular for some time to come. Also I can imagine in months/years to come, people (who may have only just got into CoD) coming along asking questions about really old topics. If this happened in the only thread there is for CoD discussion, then I can imagine them getting a lot of abuse :P.

Yeah we should have one seeing as the two latest Call of Duty games are in the Top #3 played this month on Xbox Live and Playstation Network. Call of Duty 2 is also in the Top #25

Unlike most requested sub-forums, the COD thread is a mess and the only way to sort it out is to spam the games section or create a sub-forum.
WoW has it's own sub and imo, COD would get more threads than that so yes, a sub-forum would be good :)

fifa has a way bigger fan base than cod, but no one really bothers with posting it. Although i think cod does need a sub forum in the gaming section because it will just end up super clustered with cod crap in there

I don't play COD much nor even post in the thread but I know it is a very popular game, especially on this forum, therefore I agree there should be a sub-forum for it :)
