My mate got drunk after 3 sips of Fosters

It was well funny. We were chillin' and chattin' in a mates lounge and Tom said "who wants a Fosters?" Andy (the weakling in alcohol consumption) said "na" but we were like... "yeah" so first sip he pulls a face which cant be described, it was helerious, like, omg, wth is this? And then after a further 2 went home co's he felt ill. Lol much? You got any mates like this?

It all depends on mood, if he feels ill and doesnt want a drink he'd get drunk fairly easy. like say when you have a hangover and you drink you get drunk fairly quickly

To all other posts saying he was faking, he truely wasn't. He has never drank alcohol before I swear, he couldn't even concentrate normally and this guy is really smart btw, so, it was wierd, but helerious too.

Me getting drunk all depends on the mood/atmosphere - Apparently, this has been tested too. If you bring 5 cans of beer, just sitting around, you're not likely to get drunk - If you drink 5 cans of beer at a party, you're more likely to get drunk. Its because most people get drunk on the atmosphere, not faking it. Well, this is what I heard, like apparently tis' been tested or something haha.

But in this case, a bit of fakery was involved me thinks :P

The only time I went inside was to see him drink because someone told me like it was a major event happening or something. I heart you, for knowing this :) It's just getting in with the attitude and fun, it's not pretending to be a lightweight, just getting in with the crowd, as it were. Loads of people do it, a good example is going to a gig or club and bopping to the music. It doesn't mean you find it necessarily fun, you're just doing it because that's how the atmosphere, and others around you, feel.

Yeah similar experiments have been done with pills; where a group of people is given some sort of drug and another is given placebos but they all act as if they've taken the drug because that's what they've been told they took.

It sounds to me as though your friend drank some of this beer partly because of peer pressure. He'd already said no as you stated and after some goading from his friends, gave in and had some. He probably wasn't used to the taste and if you were all laughing at him he probably felt like a bit of a fool and wanted to leave.

It's not. If I'm going into town clubbing etc and am really up for it I can drink loads but if I'm going because everyone else is going and I don't feel 100% I get wasted far too easily. It does depend on your current state of mind and what you've eaten.
