View Full Version : 2 Screens
Right for xmas (its awhile away I know) I am getting a new comp
And I am going to buy an extra screen and I dont know which wire I need to link both of them up
So I can use my mouse on both of them
i would make this thread closer to xmas but I wanted to get the stuff now.
The monitor will come with the DVI cable, just plug it into the other dvi port on your graphics card.

If your graphics card has two DVI / VGA ports then you can just plug both monitors into one of them each and you can use them both as if they were one screen or separately, but the mouse should automatically work on both as far as my experiences go.
If your graphics card only has one DVI / VGA port either you need to update your graphics card to a newer one with two or if your PC has two PCI-E slots you can use two graphics cards, one for each monitor.
Dual Laptop Screens ftw :D Xmas woo

Wow that laptop looks crazy! What's the purpose of having two screens at all may I ask?

The mouse just goes between the two, so to go onto the right screen you just go off the right side of the other screen, and vice-versa.
