An Apple Mac. I mean yeah I'm still probably gonna use this Windows laptop as my primary system, and Windows as one of my primary Operating System; but I guess I really wanted one; they're pretty bad-ass in style.

So yeah; I'm wondering if there's some guides or help I can get to start using the mac (esp. getting used to the keyboard; I type pretty fast on this laptop) ?

Any tips?

Just play, learn etc and have a look around for the most common mac apps.

Basically what everyone else has said - play around with them/one/it and learn what they can and can't do from that. Guides aren't really useful unless you are literally stuck. They're not too difficult to use, but they're not as practical as you would think, but it depends on what one you got. I was thinking about one, but after using one for 4 hours yesterday I'm completely off them :P

Yeah, comes with Safari. Easy enough to get firefox on there.

The font rendering on mac....

I can't go back to windows. Not when fonts are THIS sexy.

Honestly, it's better than I thought.

Funny thing is, OS X doesn't render fonts properly, whereas Windows does iirc.

It renders fonts better for larger fonts, yet smaller fonts are harder to read if you're far away from the screen.

It's not the fonts they use; it's the way they display the fonts. They make it far smoother than windows.

Aren't fonts just fonts, that are used on both Windows and Macs? How can fonts just be "Windows stuff" :S

The OS has to render a font, like a graphics card has to render a game.

Now you're making a totally irrational assumption that I must be a Mac fanboy because I like how the operating system renders fonts:S I'm not calling people Windows fanboys because they're saying they dislike OSX rendering, or like how Windows renders fonts? Seriously, if a Windows user said they like the start menu nobody says anything. If a Mac owner says they like the dock then all of a sudden they're a "fanboy". Urgh. It really bothers me to see just how many users will actually insult Mac users just because the victim likes what they use.

That's not necessarily entirely directed at you. It's a general statement directed to a large amount of Windows users who are quick to call Mac users fanboys. It's like how certain Mac users go on rants about how BSODs are so terrible, when they neglect to mention that there are Kernel Panics for OS X. Windows users can be quick to call Mac users fanboys, even though the Windows user could be a Windows fanboy themselve:P.

How was that an "own":S In his opinion it doesn't look good. I personally think it looks sexy.

Nonono. OSX renders fonts differently than Windows, and some guys for some stupid reason think that OSX renders them "wrong". No. THATS Wrong. False. Incorrect. They are just rendered differently. I've now used OS X for close to a year and have had absolutely NO problems reading fonts. In some people's opinion the font rendering might not look good. But it's certainly not wrong:P.

Woah, calm down dear! I just needed to use the words "Apple Tinted Spectacles", it sounded so cool in my head :8 I give up with the Mac vs PC argument anyway, its endless and pointless and its more fun to observe it from the outside and poke both sides with sticks to see who cracks first :P

The problem with just reading text is that you don't know if someone is or isn't calm. I am very calm. I am just something out, that I've wanted to say for a long time :D.

I didn't say there are not reasons why I am a Mac fanboy?? I said liking how the OS renders fonts does not make me a fanboy, and that people use the term fanboy too loosely regarding Apple users. A lot too loosely.

But usually Microsoft makes beautiful hardware?

I'm absolutely in love with my Microsoft bluetooth mouse, that I use with my Apple Mac (Because Apple mice are absolute crap, and I seriously hate my mighty mouse). Can you please stop trying to find a way to show that I must be an Apple fanboy over something so petty:rolleyes:. Both companies make fantastic stuff, both companies also make stupid mistakes.
