How I Met Your Mother is the hilarious story of how hopeless romantic Ted fell in love with the mother of his two children.

The flashback shenanigans begin when Ted's best friend Marshall proposes to long term girlfriend Lily which makes Ted feel unloved enough to do something about it. Helping him in his mission to find a ladylove is well-suited toxic bachelor Barney and serving as his main object of affection is feisty news anchor Robin.

An older, wiser Ted narrates the story to his two children as along with us, they try to work out where their mother fits into all of the bumbling, fumbling and general silliness.

I missed the first episode on Friday, and I want to watch it before I see episode 2, anyone know if there are catch up episodes running? if not like a internet link?

I've been watch HIMYM at USA pace since I discovered it 2 years ago. I can't believe it's taken this long for it to be a serious series in the UK (The BBC aired Season 1 years back then never did anything after that and trouble ran Seasons 1 & 2 a couple of times). E4 will be showing Seasons 1-4 (and probably 5 next year, it'll probably wait until the full season is finished in America and just add it to the syndication run).

Channel 4 will also be airing HIMYM (I had a C4 staffer confirm that for me last week). No details are available for that yet but I'm guessing probably night time filler like they do with TBBT and Inbetweeners etc.


This is one of the greatest shows ever. It gets way better as the show goes on, I really do recommend watching this show to anyone who isn't sure about it. Even if the story has no appeal and it's only to watch the legend that is Neil Patrick Harris. But seriously it's down right fantastic.
