View Full Version : No, you're not e-famous. You're hab-famous.

As I recently (like today) had a nice chat with cjames, we came to the conclusion.

People think there are certain people E-famous. But actually, most of the time, that's used by people who are only famous in the 'habbo world'. Like, on Fansites and the Hotel. Some people have thrown it better with international sites and fame on more hotels.
Either way, those people should be boxed with Hab-famous.

As we define e-famous with being famous with the 'e'. The internet.
Most 'e-famous' people I know from name, haven't been on PerezHilton.com or have loads of Twitter followers or loads of YouTube viewers.

So, try now to reach the e-fame and get known on more 'worlds'/sites then only the Habbo world, as that level is way to easy. Even more sad is the people who say are famous in Habbo, but are only known on local fansites and the hotel, it's such a shame :(

Good luck.

If you consider yourself e-famous then you're a total douche.

Realistically; you're on Habbo Hotel. I don't even play that game anymore. I have no idea of who's e-famous on that hotel.

eFame is like Chris Pirillo (first google hit for chris lol) or Pete Cashmore (jsyk he owns Mashable.com; earns like $7000 a week from advertising alone); when people in a lot of locations know your name. Youtube stars are annoying; yet known outside of youtube.

On Habbo; it's fairly unlikely you strike fame anywhere other than Habbo. You may open a twitter and get Habbo fans following you on twitter; but its highly unlikely you'll strike it into twitter fame.

This is an apalling misconception of young teens thinking they're famous because a lot of people look up to them for playing Habbo every day and spending several hundred pounds (or thousand) on furni, and sucking up to staff.

I find it totally amusing, actually. For real.
I think best known for her Hab-Fame was Callie. She's the best.

Miss u, still love you xox <3

Technically, you're only e-famous if your famous on more than once place:P

Becauseeee, if you're famous on youtube, you're tube-famous ?
famous on habbo hab-famous

famous on both.... e-famous to generalise it=D!

i wouldn't dream of saying anything else other than compliments!!That pleases me!

But there is a problem with that description e5.
As, with these days of more and more social media and sites to be famous on, people 'export their hab-fame' into YouTube (on theatre-o-graphy), Twitter (on status and stuff, cuz normal celebs use it, hab-celebs should do too), and even more of that social stuff.

But, because they use their 'basical' fame-ness, it would not become e-fame as the subject is part of the grand total of Habbo. That way, it's very hard to make the difference between e-fame and habbo-fame, as mostly the more sites are used by the same 'e-celeb' and then all could lead to the start (e.g. a youtube video).

It also cannot be 'famous on more then one site' because the fansites and stuff can be a part.

I'm on about non-Habbo users using you-tube, but then they cud get famous on habbo later making them e-famous to generalise it, for example.

being e-famous isnt really anything special, you wouldn't make much, if any, money from it so it isnt that great.

Probably the only person i know of to make money from e-fane was youtube's Charlieissocoollike who got himself an interview on BBC News

Very true. I would go as far as to say nobody is really even Hab-famous. When you talk about actual e-famous people on YouTibe and Twitter, they are famous for what they've done or achieved and people admire them for it. Anyone who tell me is 'Hab-famous' I imagine would be stupidly rich. The example of Callie doesn't count that much considering she was the hotel manager so doesn't exactly need to rise to (Habbo) public attention, but her memory has lived on more so than any other manager :D.

Basically: Rich on Habbo + Suck Ups = "Hab-fame"

It's hardly a massive achievement when you're basically buying the fame :P.

The only real ones I would say are people like Skaterchu and Sierk or Mizki because of what they have actually achieved.

What are you on about? Loads of e-famous people get tons of money, think about Smosh and all the products they sell, they're only famous because of YouTube, yet they get loads of money from it... So, being e-famous, is quite special... I'd happily be e-famous :)

Smosh, iJustine, and Fred are e-famous

sxcgrl93 and BOOMitsTASHA are not e-famous.

Also Mizki wouldn't really count as Hab-famous either. Most people only remember her because she was a Hobba and created Habbox, but you go around and ask people who Mizki is and about 90% of people won't have a clue.

i don't think even hab-famous exists really. because for example, you might be a rich casino owner thus you'll be well known on the trading scene. however, nobody would know you on the help desk scene. some people are famous across all categories, but not many.

It's just attention seeking at the end of the day. The people that consider themself 'e-famouz' within a virtual world (a rubbish one at that) have very, very sad lifes.

The only guy that i found remotely funny was that w5 guy or something? He was a black guy with an afro, who constantly spammed the Habbo messageboard, with complete rubbish, and got everyone so mad.#

Youtube people are e-famous, they have fans, their real people (as in not behind a screen) and generally put out good stuff on the internet.

If you spend enough time on habbo, are very rich (not always the case), make good rooms and are mature then you do become well known around habbo. Habbo's go around saying that well known/famous habbo's are sad but pretty much all the people on the trading/casino side of Habbo try to get as well known as possible. When you quit Habbo and are no longer interested in it, you see how sad it actually is. Everyone on there pretends to be someone that they are not, it's just obvious that they have a different personality in real life. But if that's what you like to do in your free time then go along and do it. I use to play Habbo a lot and had about 100T at one point, what a life I had then...

Not a big deal really, it's usually just jobless 20-year-olds who need fulfilment in their lives. It's like ugly people who take advantage of e-standards because they'll never be considered as good looking in real life as they are online.

Trying to be 'e-famous' has increased tenfold though recently.

curse of visa =
trying too hard =
everyone acting same =
no one gets 'e-fame' anyway

Saying that, it's probably only within my 'social Habbo group'

I don't calll them efamous or habfamous.

I call them losers

I laughed so hard at that you wouldn't believe it.

Hab-famous, e-famous... It all sounds a bit of a diversion for the real fact that you're actually a nerd, a geek, and probably quite insecure about yourself because you need to go onto the internet to talk to anonymous folk to make yourself feel better about yourself.

If anything, you're not e-famous, you're not hab-famous, damn you're not even a loser. You're just a social degenerate.

Kthnxmyopinionsftwbi.

@above post: Everyone acting the same is what I like to call 'modern day originality'. It's kids who THINK they're something special, but in fact they're really just copies of someone who they've seen. Jeez putting it like that makes you think Habbos take these social degenerates as IDOLS. It's a pretty bad problem.

@Robald: Lol, Lerf and Merf, no comment. Lol.

@Ardemax: You come across as the sort of person who would die for that stature of 'e-fame'. Not many people realise if you die for e-fame, you can't really enjoy it. Since you're dead and that.

What about the people who are 'e-famuz'?
Totally different stature from 'e-famous'...

Kyle
14-09-2009, 07:14 PM
Most people don't even give themselves the status of e-famous, it's other habbos that are like "omg stupid suckup thinks they r efamous" The more people get jealous of you, the more famous you become, which, in turn creates more envy. It's a vicious cycle!!!

You may consider those that gain the status of 'efamous', 'habfamous' or a derivative thereof to be losers, but the majority of you are no better. You know that deep down, you'd love nothing to be higher up the social hierarchy and have a few hundred more 'friends' than you already have.
