I get 10+ percent off in the apple store in Belfast because I'm a "vip" student. It's really good, my friend is getting 104 quid off her new macbook

I'm looking forward to seeing these new ipods, hopefully I'll get discounts on them.

Camera on the iPod. Didn't they realise that people already carry low resolution cameras around with them on their mobile phones? Probably a worse camera than those on phones too...

So the iPod Nano now has a Video Camera and a built in FM Radio.

Camera:
H.264 VGA video, 640 by 480 pixels, up to 30 frames per second with AAC audio

The new ipod nano looks quite cool, I don't think there is any need for a video camera though.

£135 for a 16GB Nano? Seems cheap, but with Video and Radio suits me better than my Touch, hopefully I'l get at least that for my Touch.

...and by adding a camera to the Nano, and NOT to the Touch, they're being ridiculous. A touch would have a much better use for a camera (well, the iPhone does).

Oh great, so the iPod is no longer an MP3 player? It's now a camera/camcorder... Those iPods are the definition of ugliness and impracticality, why on earth have a portrat screen and having to tilt it landscape to watch videos? It ruins the overall look of the wheel :/

Bring back the iPod Mini, the only decent built iPod, ever.

And?

The DSi is a games system. It has a camera.

The PSP is a games system. It has an optional camera (£29 iirc, as a mate bought one)

Most mobiles can be used for games. They usually have cameras.

I still believe the Touch should get a camera. Maybe next year it will.

At least, I expected a built-in mic for Voice Control, even though there's headphones with them in coming with the 32 and 64Gb models.

I'm just slightly surprised that they didnt fit one to the Touch, thats all. Also, I'm amazed they didnt get rid of the 8Gb and keep the 16Gb model.

64GB iTouch... nice, would have been better with a camera, and I really do not get why the hell the have given the Nano a camera... that's not what it's for, would have been much more suited to the iTouch, they could have marketed it so much better if it was in the iTouch, one more thing though, if there is 64GB memory in the iTouch now, we can expect 64GB capaity in the next iPhone? and dare I say it? maybe 128GB? (long shot, but I can dream. :D) along with the improved camera (WITH FLASH PLEASE APPLE, AND BLUETOOTH!) obviously. :P

Just received a email from Apple about a new iPod Nano.

It looks good with the radio, and a video recorder.

Yeah it looks quite good, quite like the idea of having a video camera with you. Mind you most/all people that have phones will have a video recording feature, and most people will carry their phone and ipod with them.
