Right I am trying to sort this out for a pal (who is on this forum).

This is what he said, if you understand and know how to do it could you please say and I will rep+


do you know waht that mod is that adds pictures to forum titles?

like the open icon
another one of them
but say it was an xbox forum
thered be a big pic of an xbox
along with the open icon
if you get me..

Does he mean the user rank bars like this for example

Go to ranks and them choose where your images is and then the user group that you want to have it..

If thats not it then i dunno.. could he give an example??

Just found out, he means the icons on the side of each forum.

Is the forum vBulletin? if so there's a built in feature to do what he wants I think:



Go to AdminCP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager -> Select your forum to edit

Scroll down a bit until you find:

Prefix for Forum Status Images

Type in a prefix that you are going to remember because you are going to use it. For example, for your general chat forums, you can have "genchat_" or your general chat forum ID: "1_" or whatever you want as long as you can remember it.

Alright, now make sure you have the customized images at hand.

If you've chosen genchat_ as a prefix, rename every custom image file to:

* genchat_forum_link.gif
* genchat_forum_new.gif
* genchat_forum_new_lock.gif
* genchat_forum_old.gif
* genchat_forum_old_lock.gif


Upload these new images to /images/statusicon

If you're talking about category images (each category has its own icon/image) there is modification for it.

Have a look on vBulletin.org or another mod site.

well i've made my own forums a couple of times and from what i remember you just save n image and you can import that image has one of those bookmark thingies
