iPlayer Downloader is a great little portable app which allows you to download videos in .mov format (Quick Time) from BBC iPlayer without any DRM attached. The app doesn't need require any installing but does take around 10-20 seconds to start up. Screen shots below.

I've been using it for some months now and haven't had any problems.

Only items which are available for download on the iPhone/mobile site will work which is most programs. It tricks the BBC server into thinking you're an iPhone/mobile device.

Yeah, I at first I thought you were a fan of children then thought a fan of eastenders would make more sence :)

lol - That would make more sense. I found this app whilst seeking a method of downloading EastEnders on another forum.

I used to use it, I still have it on my laptop I think. It stopped working for me a few months ago though, I'll try it out again and see if it's working now.

There was a fix released in March.

Not sure but they're pretty good.

Just tested it out again, works perfectly. Thank you for reminding me about it :)

Looks pretty good, thanks for the thread! Shame my mp4 player can't play .mov files but its nothing a little conversion can't handle!
