Absolutely brilliant. Put in another top class performance yesterday (full 90 minutes) even though he played for england like 2 days before yesterday's game for the whole 90 minutes as well.

He's only 23.... and the way he's playing atm. When he reaches he's peak... :eusa_snoo unstoppable.

Best player in the league at the moment, no doubt about it(maybe the world, but I'm not informed enough to say that, as I don't really pay attention to the other leagues, whilst the premier league is running), with Adebayor and maybe Defoe (although, he won't last long) close behind, and then the usuals, Gerrard, Lampard, and many other players from the top 5.

Imagine Rooney at peak age, 26-30, look out defences. :8

Benayoun has been exceptional also this season. i dont see how rafa left him out of the first game but yea that goal rooney scored was a piece of individual brilliance

You'll have to just hope he hasn't reached his peak at a young age like some other greats in the past have done. Look at Fowler. He looked certain to become the best striker in the world with the capability he had at such a young age, unfortunatly for him, that seemed to be the peak of his career... around 23/24. I hope that doesn't happen to Rooney though as we need him to be even better in the next World Cup (2014) if we have any chance of winning that.

Rooney has improved so much, not only in his ability, but he's mananged to keep his temper to a minimum and just plays the game and is happy when he scores and doesn't rub it in peoples face etc :) I really like him.

Away fans not get the lower tier of Steve Bull this season?

they do, but only if they bring a larger number of fans, if they don't bring many, then they get allocated to half of the south bank, or is it the other way round? but yeah, that's what is happening basically.

just depends on how many fans you bring.

Lower Stevie Bull is quality, I love it when I'm moved their, i'd rather have my season ticket their, I sit rite in the middle, on the half way line, about 7 rows up. Quality.

Why? :S I hated him when he first came onto the scene and used to throw his rattle out of his pram all the time but since he's matured and started acting more professionally, I like him a lot more.

Anyway he's a very talented player, which is the point. He also plays as well for England as he does for his club and for this reason I'd say he's the best English player.

Just a shame he was a blue and not a red :P.

I still think he's a person with a bad temper. I'll say he's one of the best strikers in the world, but that doesn't mean I like him. I just see him as some angry idiot who looks like Shrek.

When we first signed Rooney, i thought **** 30 mill, that's a lot of money but i'm so glad we signed him. Proved he was worth it in his Champs Lg Debut against Fenerbache.

I can't understand why City fans boast about there players. Yeah you spent Over 100 Mill to buy players... any club can do that if they had the money :S It's not like you actually scouted for these players, or brought them up from your youth acadamy. Your only players that are surviving are: Richards and Ireland, Ireland will find it hard to get a game when the big ones come around and Richards will probably be replaced soon.

We don't exactly boast about are players? But we are very excited with the fact we are now buying much better players than we have ever seen before in our club, and all in one go! You can't expect us to be not excited about that? Don't forget SWP was in our youth originally before being snapped up by Chelsea as a bench warmer for £21M.
