i dont think just a few sandwiches will get you through a 12 hour flight.. you should have got the meals tbh and as its a 12 hour flight you'll get at least two meals with additional snacks lol

im a rly fussy eater anyway, so plane food is not good, only had it once but never again. I'd just take bare snacks.

£30 for a flight meal? :S

It will have been so expensive because within those 10 hours you will likely have at least 3 meals along with tea/coffee. Sandwiches will only last you a few hours.

In my opinion airplane food isn't that bad anymore really, last time I had food on a plane it was really nice actually.

I could go that long without eating anything at all, easily :P.

I remember really enjoying the first ever flight meal I had - it was a breakfast but I was about 8 so the novelty probably had some effect :D. Any I've had since then have been disgusting though (and I'm the least fussiest eater ever!). I just eat the bread, drink the juice and I think there was a pot of jelly or some sort of cake last time which I ate.

I love the breakfasts, i think i dont really realise what it tastes like as i only ever eat it early in the morning, half awake.

I quite like British Airways sandwichs to be honest, I can't remember what they were but they had some very strange things inside them which I never would normally eat. For some reason I did and they were very nice, bit of a shame I forgot what it was lol.

i could go without food for a day/day and a half normally but dont forget you're travelling so you'll definately need the energy. I flew to canary island which was a 5 hour flight and i thought i didnt need any food, turns out by the time i got there i was starving so much i threw up cause of it. nice. i guess the travelling requires more energy cause your body had to adapt to it all.

What airline is this!?

Never travelled on budget airlines, so I'm served good quality food when I'm on a plane, which can be as often as monthly. Basically 30 quid is just out of line, I have never seen something so expensive- the budget airlines here charge 3 quid max.

If you're on a 12 hour flight sandwitches pre bought or home made will do the job, with a few extra snacks.

Usually when you go on long flights you get complimentary meals and beverages. I absouloutely love it! I know a lot of people don't. I'd hate to have it everyday, but when I fly I always look forward to the meal, like you get loads. :)

I've flown with both BA and Virgin Atlantic and their food is pretty good. At the end of the day your on a plane not in a restaurant so what can you expect really.
Although, is it me or does plane food make anyone want to burp....a lot!?

Im sorry but I must mention that you spelt aeroplane wrong. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fixed-wing_aircraft AirPlane is a simple spelling that the Americans made as the general population could not spell Aeroplane properly, eg:
Correct American
Colour Color
Mum Mom
Gaol Jail
Arse Ass
etc, If you dont believe me, check the link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simplified_Spelling_Board They made it "simple" for those who are "simple" aka Americans...

Ye, best try to eat what you can even if you dont like it. It will get you through the flight. Anyway, they may now allow certain things through into the aeroplace so ye.

LOL NO ONE CARES.

AIRPLANE food is awful. I remember I only ever had one meal that I actually 'enjoyed' and it was on the way back from Skiathos it was like a lamb hot pot thing and I took about two mouthfuls before my MOM knocked it all over the floor :@.

I complained and they gave me a discount voucher.

It can be alright sometimes but it's really not worth the money for the small portion you receive.
