The appeal by arsenal has succeeded and the ban is overturned. Too right it should be, a yellow card in-game and a ban out of it :S If he gets a yellow card added to his tally which goes towards the champs league then thats fair enough. Good news anyway.

Yeah I just saw your post in the other thread and wouldn't have posted this if I did before :P
On a side note, I don't think Ade should be punished for the Celebration, as he already got booked in-game so fair enough, but the stamp should get him a 3 game ban.

Bad decision IMO, that ban would have been a deterant for other cheats, but now...

No, a rule at the start of the season saying "if you get caught diving, you get ******" would've deterred cheats. Making an example is not the way to go.

Like john said, it should have only been a booking so why give him a 2 game ban.

Quite right really he should never have got the ban in the first place :O

Exactly, The FA/Uefa/Fifa don't do themselves any favours at all when they 'overturn' these judgements.
Good news :)! He's one of Arsenals better players and they'll need him!

it's weird. they take this action, fair enough they have to be consistent. but over-ruling it when it was a clear dive is a bit weird really. if they hadn't done anything in the first place it'd be alright but for them to take action then reverse it was the worst thing they could do to curb obvious cheating.
