Well i've come to the fact i think Eminem is defiantly one of the best rappers out, hes white, unlike every other rapper. Before eminem everyone said white people cannot rap.
What are your feelings on him do you think hes a legend, or a total loser?

it sounds like you're only saying he's good because he's white :D his joke songs are utter ****, and totally ruin him for me. his more serious songs like mosh and toy soldiers and the like and just amazing, they show off his real talent

He's a joke.

An absolute joke, he wishes he was black and from ''the ghetto''.

SOME of his songs are ok, but as for the rest, I just don't like them.

Before him the only mainstream white rapper was Vanilla Ice which is kind of an unfair handicap seeing as how Vanilla Ice is clearly handicapped himself. In the underground though white rappers have been around since forever - ICP were idols of Eminem even though he'd never admit it now because of old beefs, but the idea that white people couldn't rap before Eminem is one held only by non-rap fans

Fair play on not liking most of his stuff, I personally don't either but I'm not going to deny his talent just because I don't like some of the actual tracks. As for wishing he was ghetto you couldn't be further from the truth.. he doesn't do any ghetto raps, he writes about his life not the life of a gangster and I'm assuming you only think that because he's a rap artist rather than a singer in a rock band, because there is no evidence of it anywhere.

I've come across as a real Eminem fanboy here but I'm truly not, I just don't like it when people are so wrong about something I have an active interest in (in this case, rap)

Legend. Serious songs are amazing. Jokey songs are good when your in the mood for 'em.

Although, I say he's a legends, yet I think he needs to stop now before he actually destroys himself. The Re-Up was pretty crap, as was Relapse.

I think hes a really good artist, but not as good as he use to be. Definetly NOT a loser though.

I think his serious stuff is great. His non-serious stuff doesn't really make sense. But yeah I think he's a good artist and I'm not even a hip-hop fan.

Yeah, because you need to be black or pretend you're from the ghetto to rap.

He does create some really good songs but also sometimes just has vicious stabs at people for no reason which is really confusing.

He seems a bit like a spoilt child when things don't go his way, but he is funny at times and his songs do push boundries that other artists would dream of going near.

So overall he's a bit of both, however more of a Legend than Loser but the loser element is still there.

he's defo one of the best rappers out there, mainly because he can have a joke and take his work seriously at the same time. i liked his older stuff better and thought his newer stuff wasn't as good, then i heard "the warning" & "forever" and changing my opinion completely - he hasn't changed much and is still just amazing as he was back in the dayzzzz.

He's posting a rep comment, naughty naughty. True though his "facts" are wrong, Eminem's from Detroit and he's not the best rapper, nor is Tupac the 2nd best

he's white.
and he plays guitar.
and he's a better rapper than eminem, by far.

Nah you can like his music more than you like Eminem's and there's no problem with that, but from a neutral view (as I don't particularly like either) Eminem is a far more talented MC. Dunno what being white and playing guitar has to do with it

Paul Wall, Brother Ali, Slug (from Atmosphere), Vinnie Paz (from Jedi Mind Tricks/Army of the Pharaohs), Sage Francis and many more talented white rappers are out there if you go looking, generally in underground hiphop but really race doesn't make a difference, it just depends on what style of rap you like

Coming from a fan of heavy metal/ classic rock, eminem is indeed a legend.

I love his old stuff, but I absolutely LOVE the relapse album. His lyrics are unmatched and I will be gutted if he retires after relapse 2.

Hey Niall you're just in time for... wait no you're not in time at all.

Also Relapse is his worst work by farrrrr he dropped the ball hard when he went on hiatus

I think he is good, i like to listen to his raps.. Possibly the only rapper i kinda enjoy listening to?

Relapse is not his worst work, I just like the whole crazy thing he has going on.

Eminem is undisputely the number 1 rapper in the world at the current time. He remands the only rapper in the world to come back from a also dead state of play where people say he would never rap again or sell albums to produce one of the biggest selling albums of the year and of his career. He has 3 multi million pound albums and still hold the record for staying at number 1 the longest in the UK charts for a raper. His songs are written on pure experience and emotion of his life, with most being written about the closest things to him in life (ie his daughter). He remands to be the only raper in the world to be able to capture the heart of the fans and to sell records. I dont think its even possible to despute that he is not a legend and dont understand why ANYONE could call him a loser.

If it was not for eminem, we would not have some parts of the music industry that we have today, he showed you can push the boundrys with songs and opened doors for many other artist.

Eminem is undisputely the number 1 rapper in the world at the current time.

Relapse was a critical flop and most real hip-hop-heads regard him as having fallen off. I would say that commercially Jay-Z has blown everyone out of the water (no homo) for the past decade, Nas being the greatest lyrically and flow-wise, and Ghostface Killah the most creative, and that's only in mainstream rap. Slip underground and you got all sorts of guys with massive amounts of talent

He remands the only rapper in the world to come back from a also dead state of play where people say he would never rap again or sell albums to produce one of the biggest selling albums of the year and of his career.

Well that's just plain untrue, loads of rappers claim to have quit before coming back with something more

He has 3 multi million pound albums and still hold the record for staying at number 1 the longest in the UK charts for a raper.

DMX had 5 albums in a row that went straight to number one (the only person let alone rapper to have done so - that is straight to number one, Jay-Z has 10 chart topping albums but not ones that went right to the top spot), missing out on the 6th by literally 100 sales. He also claimed to retire after his 5th album, and clearly didn't as above.

His songs are written on pure experience and emotion of his life, with most being written about the closest things to him in life (ie his daughter).

Cool.. like with all musicians then. People only identify with him more because there are more white suburban kids out there than black ghetto soldiers, but that doesn't mean no other rapper writes about personal stuff

He remands to be the only raper in the world to be able to capture the heart of the fans and to sell records.

That's just plain wrong

If it was not for eminem, we would not have some parts of the music industry that we have today, he showed you can push the boundrys with songs and opened doors for many other artist.

We wouldn't have 50 Cent.. and maybe Asher Roth. That's all I can think of. Great musician but he's really not all that influential among the rap community, just very well respected

An extract taken from justin smith's webiste (Otherwise known as "Just Blaze")

"Justins latest accomplishment has been working with EMINEM (arguably the best rapper in the world) on his next album; Relapse 2. They have already recorded six songs and have plans on making three more. Whether these tracks make it on the album will be up to Marshall."

As you can still he is still regarded by most in the music industry as the best rapper in the world.

(For thoose who dont know who Justin Smith, otherwise know as "Just Blaze" is, he is one of the best music producers in the world and has worked albums and songs with the likes of Eminem, Kanye West, Usher, Snoop Dog, Mariah carey, Busta Rythms, Lil-Wayne, jay-z, Fat joe, Janet jackson and many more and has produced over half of Eminems songs including 7 of his top 10 of all time songs).

Just Blaze is cracking (even though he fully screwed Saigon over) but how does that show that people think Em's the best rapper in the world? I'm not denying his talent, just that title - of course Blaze is gonna say he's great on the site because he wants people to buy his music, but he's worked with far better in the past. Half of Beanie Sigel's "The Reason" was done by him, a few of Blueprint and half Blueprint 2, a few Game tracks, Saigon as previously mentioned, all better than Em in terms of sound.

If DJ Premier on his site claimed MOP were "arguably the best rap group in the world" because he works with them, that wouldn't make it true, good as they are
