Room Advertisements

Hey,

I think there was a thread on this not long ago.

I think Habbox should offer Room Advertisements on the main site and forum.

You could charg a certain ammount of hc's per week/month.

Like:

2hc per week = Flash banner at top of main site
3hc per week = Forum Advertisement
2hc per week = Advertisement where Rare Values are

This would supply Habbox with more hc's to use in competitions etc, and I think it would be popular.

I would certainly use it. The prices are EXAMPLES by the way :D

Anyway thoughts?

Ye, that would probably be some sort of premium service. Paying for the most popular fansite to advertise your room or whatever. I like it but it probably wont work.

Does it count as real world trading (or whatever habbo call it)? I know they only like furni to be traded for other furni, not for real world things. Not that I care :P Yeah we used to do this a while ago on the rare values page, not sure what happened to it.

This is something we're going to introduce in the future but our layout coder has disappeared with internet problems, so until he's back it won't be in place ;) Unless it can be figured out by myself or Mr.OSH :P

lol at you double posting, n00000000b. we know that habbox needs server payments but it's an easy way to get a few hcs which can be given to various departments to give better prizes :)

There's no need to effect the current advert revenue. See on the Rare Values page, there's that little banner advertising a room? Couldn't that be used but made to appear on every page just above the content and also link to the room?

Why not use that on the RV pages?
I am sure that if casino owners pay for that then the world would quickly spread with no need for advertising it. As its on the RV pages it will be seen be thousands of people making it a prime place for people wanting to advertise + you wont be loosing out on no add space and its about time that that was updated anyway.

They can't ban cash - we're not giving people furniture for cash, we are giving advertizing space for cash, which is what they are encouraging us to do to make up for premium services (though they're mental, they think that if we offer an ad a site might offer to sponsor our hosting and server entirely. Adurr)

However selling furniture for ad space...not sure if they'd go for it.


RE: Infrequent - I think if we did it I'd just go ahead and wait to hear from them. After all, they don't even reply to my emails anymore though they're quick to email me when something is posted on the forum that they don't like :) So they will probably see this post and mark me down as anti-Habbo :P Which I'm not I just think that the policies have become idiotic and the staff have become very out of touch.

Yeah they are pretty.. odd with their policies. It was fine how it used to be being allowed to sell VIP and whatnot. I don't really see why they'd go against this idea because in a way it's like the donator system we have now.. donate £1 and get a coloured name, donate a hc or 2 and get an advert :P

More than that its the exposure of staff details, like posting emails from staff on the forums or posting staff's email addresses on the forum. Which, the latter, fair enough I can see why they wouldn't want it publicized.

Habbo are mad!

They don't want people spendiong hc's (which would of been bought thanks to people using mone to buy credits..) yet they are fine for people to spend money (which could have been used on credits)
