Can't you do it manually through the phpmyadmin

"its blank and loading for ages"

If it is a big SQL file, then that will be because it's still uploading...

Do you have shell access to your server? SSH etc?

I was able to reimport a large backup (25mb) via phpMyAdmin by deleting the current tables and importing the backup as a new import rather than an overwrite.

Really that's down to the various memory and php settings over anything else.

I heard there is something called;
BigDump

If you get this in future, upload your MySQL.db and the BigDump.php, run bigdump [www.yourdomain/forum/bigdump.php] and locate the sql db.

It auto installs for you.

Great, thank you for the info. I sure will be using BigDump from now on, it's quicker. +rep

I done what you told me but then i get this error;

Error at the line 4104: /*!40101 SET SQL_MODE=@OLD_SQL_MODE */;
Query: /*!40101 SET SQL_MODE=@OLD_SQL_MODE */;

MySQL: Variable 'sql_mode' can't be set to the value of 'NULL'

How do i fix this?
