ingrowing toenail problem

Hey peeps and peepettes, i have a ingrowing toenail and i think its infected but i'm not 100% sure it is.

It hurt's like hell and if i bang it, i like scream because it hurts that much. It even hurts when i move my feet around in bed.

Do you know if there's any cream's that you can get to cure it.


What should i do?

the best thing to do is go to the doctors and get them to cut it out or whatever. my friend had one and it wasn't that bad.

Yeah just go to see your GP. Sadly you'll have to endure a bit of pain it has to be said, I've had some painful issues with my foot but if you just leave it, it'll just get worse. And isn't that stuff coming out of your foot puss? (SP?)

omg that looks really sore :( Go to your GP and they'll arrange for you to get your toenail removed... I know quite a few people who've gotten ingrown toe nails removed and I hear its not a plesant experience :( I dont think you can get creams that will cure it when its that bad :(

If you're lucky the toenail will grow back. Better chances if they don't remove the whole thing. I had to cut half my nail off to remove dried blood from underneath it but it grew back after a few months.

I had an operation on mine but they put some liquid stuff down to kill the nail bed so it didnt grow :p

I got it out myself, and mine was worse than that. It hurt though. Go to a doctor and ask to become numb while they do it, or you need a towel to bite on.

I had this..... you need to go to a foot doctor, osteriopath or something. I had 4 injections in my big toe and then the guy cut a bit of nail off my toe and then used acid to make sure the nail that he cut off didnt come back, its been fine since.

I remember before I had it done it ******* hurt so bad.

Go to a doctors, they will arrange for it to be removed, that's the only thing you can do.

It's worse than I've ever experienced. What I do is basically try to lift it using my nail clippers to get it over the skin and then cut around it. In your case, it's probably going to hurt too much to do that. I suggest you go to the doctor ASAP to get the nail completely removed.

I've went to the foot doctor a few week's ago when it wern't as bad as this, and they said that if you just leave it and keep your socks off all the time, the nail should come out and be ok. But obv's it didn't.
I'll defo make an appointment A.S.A.P because i can't stand it for much longer.

The nail won't come out if you don't do anything about it. It'll just keep on growing inside your flesh and hurt more for you. Trust me, if it doesn't hurt that much right now, lift it over your flesh and cut around it.

I used TCP and some cotton wool for a few days after ripping it out, blood was oozing all over the floor.

Ive had this before in both my big toes's they gave me 7 needles 3 in each toe (1 attempt failed) to numb my toe they asked me to close my eyes and all u can here is them choping your nails off (click click) but all the pain is gone after that. u may have to go for checkups every 6 week or so

tip: id bathe it in salt water hurts a bit but does the world of good id also put a banday round that so things dont go in it

This happened to me, nowhere near the extent of that, I had my tonail removed dosen't really hurt that much.

You should soak your feet in warm water with some shampoo. Then take a bit of cotton and place it under the ingrown nail so that it grows outwards. If all doesn't work your doctor may have to remove it manually.
