I've been offered a position of Radio Broadcaster at Heart FM 97.2 & 102.2 based in the Wiltshire area. I'll be getting paid for this, but do I take it? The reason is because I have college and if I drop out all I have is two A Levels in Computing & Media. Not in business.
Also, I will be able to still DJ for HabboxLive although my sense of presenting may change to being more professional. I got contacted by their Station Manager through listening to me on my local Community Radio.
Help me?

Could you finish college then take the position? If the radio thing doesn't work out you would regret it so you might as well finish college. You could also ask if you could work just weekends? or is it a weekly thing?
If you want to go to uni two A-levels wouldn't be enough so you might as well stay on.

you should. it's a life-changing option. i think you should pursue your dream because it's evidently something you're interested in. in that sort of business they want life experience not grades anyway. you've been virtually hand-picked because you're good at what you do. get in and good luck mate :)

Defo take it.
College is there anytime, thats a once in a lifetime opportunity so grab it. It'll give you real experience of what you want to do and will boost you if you do go back to college rather than just coming out with a qualification and no experience to back it up.

Hey guys,
I have some news. I turned down the offer this time, but they said they are going to keep me on file for the future and any time I want to take it I can. Going to concentrate on college & my local community radio, gain some more experience and get some grades! :)

LOL!
because he was lying all along.
I was thinking that, but if he does a radio show in Swindon and got heard its probably true.
Should have took it now and went for it!
None of us know for a fact if he were lieing or not, so why place judgement? It's not like it's a unbelievable story...

He happened to add me on Facebook and has made no reference of this offer, but has continued to write about his Swindon show, as well as "feeling low".

well if its an apprenticeship take it, if its not, take it, you'll come out of it with money which will / can pay for college if needed to.

it's not like he's saying he's been offered a prime time slot on radio1. i don't see why people would disbelieve him.

tbh i'd snap it up if it was offered to me, as i want to go into radio after media studies, so i wouldn't need 2 years of stressfull **** to get my life in line.

If it's the case then there won't be another chance most likely. To decline such an opportunity, they'll find someone else to fill the void who is far more passionate.
