Rumored Specs:
Android O/S (with Custom skin)
4" screen (800 x 400 resolution)
8 Mega pixel Camera
1ghz Snap Dragon Processor
256mb ram / 512 rom + microSD, microSDHC, TransFlash, SDIO storage extensions
Wifi (b/g) / aGPS / accelerometer
3.5mm + usb input/ouputs
CSD, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA connectivity

I've been looking out for a decent sounding android phone for quite a while now and this is the first phone thats really caught my eye. Although still unannounced, its already caused a bit of a buzz being by far the most powerful android phone on the horizon (Rumors of a January Release)

If it does appear soon, i'm definitely tempted to get me one (which will make a nice first step in to the smart phone domain), Although as none of the specs are confirmed, exactly what will be in the final product remains to be seen.

What are other peoples thoughts on the phone, spec, etc? + if anyones heard anything about what carries it may end up with, or the price, would be great to hear :) (word on battery life would also be interesting)

Android is screwed with what Google have done to custom ROM cookers, the custom ROMs with root access is what made my G1 worth it tbh. :// I'm going to iPhone when my contract is up for renewal.

I'm happy with my X1 as I love my qwerty keyboard xx its lush
I like the look of the X2 though, more on an update of X1 than the X3 looks

have you not heard about the HTC Hero? It has universally positive reviews, not just compared to other android phones but to other phones in general. If I wasn't on contract atm I'd jump on it like a horny dog.

Although the thought of the 1GHz snapdragon processor... mmm...

Duno, the hero kinda lacked any wow factor for me, specs are pretty meh. I've had good experinces with sony erricson in the past and the xperia x3's spec's put it a head and sholders above the other adroid phones due out in the near future. It looks great to, and i'm always a fan of a big screen :p

Also, gotta admit it was the 1ghz snapdraogon that first caught my eye too :p

@ElliottThompson : not a big fan of windows mobile myself - that said the lack of keyboard is a shame "/

Yeah me neither but I have to say Windows Mobile 6.5 is pretty awsome compared to older versions but yeah I flashed my phones rom and put the HTC touch flow interface on it which works much better for the phone side of things than Windows Mobile does :D (Windows Mob is definitely better for Apps and such).

I've never really seen much of android but i've heard great things about it and I love sony's xperia phones so the X3 could possibly be a match made in heaven?
