I want to add my logo into a new document, but not have to re-do everything by hand and potentially slightly change the design. At the moment I can only do somthing called 'copy merged', which just copies the image all together, without the layers into my new photoshop document.

What I want to know is how I could copy all of the layers I need from my logo document, to my new document. If you could explain this to me, then I would greatly appreciate it.

Regards, Tom.

The way I do it is have both the logo and the blank canvass open, with one overlapping the other so you can switch through them. Then, click on the one with the logo. Highlight all of the layers you want to copy, then drag them onto the blank canvass and voila.

How do you get two files open at once? When I click open > document, it just opens it full screen in the current photoshop window?

Ok, you see the tab-bar where it shows what you have open?
Right click on the tab of the document you want and select "Move to new Window" ;)

Ahh, the tab bar was being covered by some silly tool. What a fool I am. Thanks for the help people!
