I downloaded it this morning and just got around to watching it.

It is an amazing movie and would recommend it to anyone, it has a good amount of comedy but enough romance to make it a really good film.
It nearly got me going near the end but it turned out to be a laugh, spoiler below if you wish to know. (Read the synopsis first)

Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) is the executive editor-in-chief of a book publishing company, Colden Books, who forces her assistant Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her in order to avoid being deported to Canada. He grudgingly accepts, under the condition that he is promoted to the position of editor. When the government investigates, the two are forced to spend the weekend with his parents in Alaska in order to sell the lie. The family suggest they could marry the same weekend, and they reluctantly accept. They start to fall genuinely in love as they spend more and more time together. Because of this, during the wedding ceremony, Margaret decides she cannot do this to Andrew and confesses the business arrangement in front of everyone--including the immigration officer handling their case. She is then told that she has 24 hours to get back to Canada, and thus goes back to New York to pack her things. Upon doing so, however, Andrew shows up at the office and confesses his love for her in front of the entire office staff, proposing marriage all over again. [D-Man2010]

When high-powered book editor Margaret faces deportation to her native Canada, the quick-thinking exec declares that she's actually engaged to her unsuspecting put-upon assistant Andrew, who she's tormented for years. He agrees to participate in the charade, but with a few conditions of his own. The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another. With an impromptu wedding in the works and an immigration official on their tails, Margaret and Andrew reluctantly vow to stick to the plan despite the precarious consequences. [D-Man2010]

Margaret refused to marry him at the wedding ceromony, she tells him how lovely his family is and she didn't want to hurt them. Because if she didn't get married, she would get deported out of the country the guy took her to the airport to deport her.

Andrew (The guy who was going to marry), trys to go after her but him and his Dad argue outside. Andrews Grandma 'has' a heart attack (shes 90) and is taken away on a plane with the family. She tells Andrew and his Dad to get along and promise not to argue. Then she says 'Well now they spirits can take me' then pretends to die then wakes up, telling them that she faked a heart attack and wants the pilots to get to the airport before Margaret can get flown out.

On the other note, G.I.Joe just finished downloading, so time to watch that.

I really dislike rom-coms, they're too predictable and 9 times out of 10 not my kind of comedy, but regardless, it seems to have gotten far better reviews than most have in recent years, so it must have something going for it.

That's very true, I had the urge to skip to the end to see if they married in the end because I thought he would leave for his college lover. But they hated each other all through, no signs of love at anytime.

But yeah, I don't usually like romance movies but some reason this was a good one.
