Just had a blue-screen on the desktop, relating to a driver stuck in an infinite loop. The driver it quoted as being the problem is nv4_disp, I assume this is related to the graphics card (fitted after we bought the PC).
The PC is a Packard Bell iMedia 1408, running XP Home SP3
Intel Pentium 4 (3Ghz)
1.5Gb RAM
160Gb HDD
Nvidia 7600GS GFX card
Any ideas as to what happened, and any ways to prevent this again?

Packard Bells are notorious machines, my brother has had two and they're both very laggy in some cases and fail to do the simpliest of tasks. Then again, there are still rumours that Nvidia cards have driver issues, but that may just be with Vista...
Have you tried looking for an updated driver? It's in:
Control Panel > System > Device Manager (located somewhere in there for XP).
Then you go to Display adapters (in Device Manager) by clicking the + next to it > Right click the card > Update Driver Software...
If that doesn't work, sometimes reinstalling the card by using the installation CD can work or going on Nvidia's website for the driver if all else fails. But this is a PB machine, and they are very anti-most things :P

If it does it again, I shall try updating the drivers. Thanks +REP
