Very true, but its happened so muchhh, I thought someone would have picked up.
And why is it double posting :S
I looked to see who wrote them and it seems to be the user "Tootish" only posts made by him are doubling. Maybe he is doing something wrong if thats possible

Hi :)
The double posting is caused by the way the News reporting system on Habbox is set up.
When News reporters edit one of their reports, to eighther add content or fix an error, the News system re-publishes the report again for some reason. I think it is most probably a bug, and will get it looked into.
It can be annoying, but sometimes edit's do have to be made to reports.

*Edit* Also it is not just reports by Tootish that do this, many previous News articles by other News reporters have done it too. One of my Reports the other day double posted, when I edited it to fix a spelling error.

Oh that makes sense then :P I'll ask matt if moderators in that section can possibly merge the duplicate threads.

Yeah, just like Martin said, it is when a news reporter edits their post on habbox, even if its the smallest thing it will post it again on hxf. :)

Moderators can move the duplicated thread out of public view.
Inseriousity.

Wouldn't it be better to move the old one if the new one has been changed due to grammar/spelling/whatever?

It is not really a bug in terms of how the system works. When it publishes the article to the forum it does so with the existing content, any corrections to that cannot be automatically updated through that thread again, so it creates another one as the update.
It is much like when you edit a users post, if someone has quoted it the quote will not also update, it has to be manually done.

Yea that's exactly what I have just started doing. Only the News report with the most recent time will stay, and any old copies of it will be travelling to a cold dark place where they won't be seen again. :D
*Edit* Just had a thought though. What happens if the Old reports have been commented on, and a meaninful discussion has taken place. Hmm. lol

Yeah, that would be the best option.

Very good question but sadly I don't know the answer to.

I know, he can travel to the futuree, he's in 2025 :P
And yea, it would make more sense to remove the old report but maybe the replies can then be moved to the new thread?
