Hey downloaded Core Temp and it thinks the cores on my processor are:

90
98
97
98

degrees - that is surely very hot.

I am only running internet explorer etc, then the next second it goes back down to 70/60/50 degrees?

Maybe you've left it on for too long?

I did that with a laptop once and it overheated... was not good.

Does Core Temp have a thing that tells you the lowest and highest temps the Cores have reached since you opened the program?

If so, open the program when you boot up, leave it open while you use the PC, and then check it afterwards, for a more accurate reading.

Only been on for 20 mins :D

Its strange though as the top degrees have actually been:

100
95
96
96

And not they have gone to:

54
52
54
54

And that cis in the space of a minute?

Seems a bit faulty to me :P

Check what it says in the BIOS.

If your computer was to get too hot it would shut down to stop any damage. Do you have any problems using anything on your computer? Does it perform as normal?
