Are the downloads all full versons? or evaluations?

Tomm

Full retail/volume licensing keys. Although the legal stuff says your not suppose to use them in a production environment.

Wow £285 is a bit steep for us students!! :P

And Hitman, yes 7600 is the Windows 7 release version, a.k.a Final.

My uncle bought me a disc that has all the latest Microsoft features, and it updates by itself i think...

I was going to give it to a friend but someone said it was illegal, so I decided not to give it to him :P

Oleh

I emailed my colleges IT dude and he said you have to be on a computing course. :( But he was going to find out if he could get W7 cheaper than £30 for us... so far no reply :'(

I torrented x64 Windows 7 7600, in hope that my Vista key would work on W7... :(

Free.

As cheap as possible. :P Most of us like to get things as cheap as possible. :D Seeing as I downloaded it yesterday, I just need the key, so I suppose I'll just buy a key from College if they'll allow me.

How backwards compatible is Server 08 with XP in terms of being on a Domain with GPOs etc?

He gets all MS software free for "evaluation" through TechNet.

Works fine, the windows xp client just ignores any new GPO features that it can't apply though. (e.g redirection of Download folder)

I think our school have something similar to this, as I'm sure I saw a webpage similar to this on a monitor in the Tech Support office. Plus they had at least 2 laptops running W7.

Had to ruin my moment. :'( :P The PC's at our College all say Vista on the outside, but are XP... :$ It doesn't say Vista compatible, it actually says they're running Vista... oh well, XP > Vista.

Errr well I had to do a favour for somebody, and he gave me an MSDN subscription. I suppose you could try asking your College (I can't actually give them out). :(
