I'm doing some history coursework about Stalin. I've got about 5 pages or so. Just would really like some finishing points if anyone is a fan of Stalin's Russia:)

One of the bonuses that people saw as Josef Stalin took over eastern europe was the eradication of backward and draconian monarchies that had existed in Romania and states similar to that (again, eastern europe). The other benefit to that area from an alternative viewpoint what that the Russian Empire, which has covered eastern europe and Russia was now back after world war two, which many saw as historical Russian land.
The other point was that a powerful Russia (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics') would counter-balance the grip the British Empire (now in decline) and the United States had on the world, both in europe and in asia, along with the middle east.
Of course you can go into communism itself, but those are the views that would support a strong Soviet Union at that time, although myself; I loathe everything about socialism.
