I am trying to Stack a Smoke Machine on top of a Dicemaster on top of a yukka on top of a pine, but i can only get to the stage of yukka on top of pine. this is how im doin it:

Ditch in corner,
Petal on top of ditch,
Pine on top of corner,
Glitch
Z shelf in pine - Yukka on Z shelf
Glitch,

CANT GO ANY FURTHER :( - HELP :(

After i glitch the room it wont allow me to place another z shelf in :S

i don't see what the problem is...put ditches against the wall, line the rollers up, roll on a yukka, roll on the gecko machine, get another two ditches and fuze them with a chair and let it roll on to the stack, move the rollers and put the patch down... It isn't that complicated.

Remember to fuse the chair into the table object, a ditch here, and not the other way around. Doing it the other way around will mean that when it rolls into the stack, the chair stays 'on top' and therefore you can't put anything ontop of it.
Another problem you can have with this, and this is exclusive to this new way that Verrou brought into light, is where you can accidently remove the bottom object. Because the ditches have a height of 0.0 when you roll one ontop of another they just merge essentially. So when you're performing the 'chair step' more than once in a stack, if you're taking a ditch out and then performing the step again you can accidently take out the 'bottom' ditch (I put bottom in inverted commas because they are at the same height but there is really a lower one). If you do take out the lower ditch then things just wont roll into the stack. You can get around that by using a new ditch every time you want to make the stack 'void' sotospeak, but of course then you'll just need more ditches.
They're the only problems I can imagine happening here.

You are meant to just leave for about 1 minute.. that way works %90 of the time!

The only problem i have found is that some ditches don't glitch?

I reckon with the collective knowledge on this forum if everyone came together it'd be easy to make a room that'd blow people out the water. Casinos especially cause that's the only place you can really show off stacking and get away with it but if you think about it today's casinos are nothing compared to what they could be. Yeah but obviously a lot of that stuff makes it's way into mainstream casinos on AU. On UK there's a huge gap in the market where, it seems, casino owners can barely stack bars.
By the way while you're in this thread, I wanted to ask. The way you merge sofas, would I be right to say you don't use the same way we do (we use your submitted-to-habbo-as-an-article way) but rather you use the ditch as a base object (I know the 'better' way of sofa stacking uses a base object, a coin or whatever) and then just stack it using the method for doing 3-4+ sofas (the one exclusive to AU)?

Just the method. Only other method I know of is the one on AU which has been kicking around for years. The best tip I have, and it doesn't always help, is if you're only getting one side to work then you can take a chance and remove the 1space chair on the side that isn't working. If you're lucky then the reason it's not working is because it goes;
Chair ontop
Then table item
then first sofa
So removing the chair should let you place the sofa on the other side too. If you're unlucky itd go;
First sofa on top
Anything else
By removing the chair you also ruin the stack if it doesn't work because obviously then that square has no chance of glitching no matter how long you leave it. Still it works for me occasionally.

Anyways, a sure fire way to 2 sofa stack (Will ALWAYS Work):
Get 2-10 corner ditches.
Put them in 2 piles.
Put a sofa on the pile.
Glitch room for 1 minute.
Put 2 zShelves on the ditches.
Put a sofa on the 2 z's.

Btw laggings that method you just posted is really helpful, it works differently from Verrou's intended use. I think that's how Jxhn was using it too and it's currently what I'm using to try to get as many sofas stacked as I can.

Instead of wasting all the time of raising them on rollers, you can use this method:
Put ditch down.
Put 4 rollers facing ditch.
Put your furni on rollers, let it fall on ditch.
Z shelf to the height you want on rollers, and roll second item.
Ect ect ect.

It's not really time saving with 4 items, but 5+ it really saves time.

The way they've been using to stack any number of sofas on AU for years, the one we don't know, is much much much more efficient. You don't need to reload the room or any of that pollava. All these elaborate stacks involving casinos don't require people to reload the room and wait 60 seconds every time they want to put in another sofa.
Thats pretty much the only thing I'm concerned with - an efficient way to stack sofas. This ditch thing is all well and good and it's a final solution for normal stacking, bars etc, but it doesn't cut it for sofas in my opinion but if we could work out the 'old' way they do it, then apply it to your ditch method we could have a perfect way of stacking sofas. As it stands I just don't like the way we stack sofas, it's not good enough.

I spent the last 3-4 hours testing. This is what I've come up with:

For some reason, ditches tend to change randomly what height they will be 'glitchable' at.
Some ditches are only glitchable at 4 z's up, some are only at 2, and some are at 0, ect ect.
Reloading room won't change that, as I said, they 'randomly' change.
I havn't been able to get a full 4 sofas stacked, and I have no idea why.
Using rollers to put the z shelves/ditches in won't change anything.
Stacking with tables/goldbars don't change it either.
I've had more sucess by keeping the original 2 ditches and z's down for each zShelf up. Like: Ditch/Sofa/Z/Ditch/Sofa/Z/Ditch/Sofa/Z = Keeping all of that down and not reusing it for the higher up stacks.
Putting 75 ditches down on each z shelf won't guarentee you'll get any higher.
I've seen only 1/10th of all the ditches I have able to stack above 3 z's high.

I hope this helps anyone trying to figure this out.

hello, i have succesfully managed the art of stacking on the corner of petals, and i just wondered if its the same concept to stack 2 sofas together? I have tried but doesnt seem to work. Am i missing something?

I plan on writing a guide to doing it in just a few minutes. I can't believe it's actually this easy though. I'm trying to replicate it in my room and it's not working that well. I guess it takes about an hour to do it all :S

i could create a better design, but yeah not similar because your one is crap.
just because it has hard stacking in it doesnt mean its the best.

Unholys down first.
Then some zs.
Then at least 6 ditches per square would guarantee an overlap for the nordics.
The same for the HCs.
The Yukkas would probably require less ditches because they are only 1 square (I'm finding that some 2-square 'normal' items require more than 6).
Following that pattern all the other one square items would require the same amount per square, tropical plants, sinks, dragons and the Holiday romance on top isn't merged with anything so it doesn't requre any extra thinking.
Obviously you would only use a certain amount of ditches, then recycle them for each new layer. I know the HC layer could be done with a minimum (guaranteeing an overlap every time) of 12 ditches so that's the least you'd need.
It'd just take a long time.

I thought about that too. It does seem like the smart way to do it since there's only one layer of sofas. However because all the sinks, dragons and yukkas etc are all above the sofas, the ditches wouldn't overlap and you wouldn't be able to merge them.
Good way of doing it though, that's the better way of doing most stacks and it'd work for most casinos which wanted flat stacking on petals that didn't involve merged or stacked sofas.
