I was going to start this thread on October 1st, which signals the official beginning of 'on season' in Eurovision terms, but I decided that I should wait until we have some actual news.
Today, Bulgaria announced their act - a rather attractive young chap who goes by the name Miro or Miroslav Kostadinov. He performs various genres includng dance and ballads.

Sweden have released the titles of the 27 songs in the final of their contest, and 175 songs the Swedish public can vote on for the 'web joker'. The 'web joker' will join four other wildcards and the 27 other songs in the Swedish selection, taking place on 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th February, with a second chance round on 6th March and the final on 13th March.

The United Kingdom will be entering (it'd be daft not to after a 5th place), but there is no news on that yet, so it's looking like a national final with six really average songs. I think it'd be better to do it like last year, because Jade's now gone onto bigger things and she's sort of got a career now.
27 countries have confirmed their participation in total. The final list will be released in December, with the draws for semi-finals (with the reveal of the theme and branding of the contest) taking place in January, the draws for running order in March and the contest itself on 25th, 27th and 29th May, in the Telenor Arena in Bærum, near Oslo.
