In Ludus' press conference, he was discussing the Newsletter idea and then discussed having a Habbo Council, he wants to see everyones ideas so told us to post on official fansites so he can review the ideas next week for both the Newsletter and the Habbo Council.
Apparently if the Habbo Council does arrive the members wont be able to be kicked from rooms.
The newsletter will be designed by Habbos in a graphics competition.
There will be Habbos as staff on the newsletter (Reporters, graphics...)

Callie's Habbo Council was a flop :]

Right, it's been tried before by a member of staff who had favourites and failed miserably may I add. So they plan to reimplement one with a staff member which has been proven has favourites. This isn't me trying to discredit him, just a fact. Other Habbo staff agree with me hence why he was never allowed to deal with my player support tickets and he had to wait for 0rca to reply because he was unfair towards me. Oh well.
CALLIE IS A VICTIM
The conference failed tbh.
And so has and will the newsletter.

It would be done through applications, so in the same way as Habbo X's were chosen I suppose.

Yes and who would read and decide? Ludus. It would work better if they actually hand selected people who they knew were active users, experienced, coherent and say ludus does pick people I know he uses fansites so he'd have a good idea who tries and puts things back into the habbo community by posting constructively accross habbo forums.
At dogboy - you weren't around when callie was and you don't know how awful it was.

*****, i was there and wispered 'i have naked photos of you' to ludus and got 2 hour banned :l
Callie's council was indeed a flop as laurensh expressed; she picked her friends, most of them didn't know what the hell they had to do and in the meetings that probably sat around chatting about what they had in their sandwiches the day before and what they're going to call the puppy that they're going to get next week. Okay that may have been a bit too far but hey.
Truth is, the council didn't achieve anything. It's been proven that the best way to improve the hotel is to get user feedback but this isn't actually a brilliant way to do it. ludus is probably reading this because he's a hxf addict and likes to spy on immenseman :eusa_whis so I'll just suggest that he doesn't go ahead with the council idea (yeah, it's just an idea blissa you addict)
One of the better ways to get user generated content is via competitions, not offering people incredible popularity for sitting around a table in a hotel room bouncing awful ideas off each other. You know that you're not going to select the people with every idea out there so just get sulake to make more surveys.
Also, didn't lost witness and bucho's newsletter fail because there were too many features to keep up with?

I honestly think this is the right step forward for Habbo UK. The Hotel is improving more and more with a bad history in 2007 - 2008. I think Lost_witness, Bucho6, Ludus could be the answer in making Habbo UK very fun and exciting once again. Everyone knows Callie did have her favourites, but if you ask people what was the best time on Habbo they will mostly say post 2006. I found Callie did interact with users more and there was never really a dull moment. Lost_witness did have big boots to fill I personally think.
So with the Habbo Council I think it would be a great idea as Habbo users get to give direct feedback to Habbo Staff. The newsletter is also a good idea, The automated email one at the moment lacks in so much detail it's just not worth opening the email.
So I think a great step forward Ludus.
Chancer!!

I dont think all ideas will get across with the habbo council becuase the members wont listen to other habbos ideas. :l
The news letter has to be simple like habbo.com's staff blog :] http://www.habbo.com/groups/staff***
Btw... they need to get rid of room tags... when you search peoples names rooms that other users have made come up I.e. Ludus when he is hosting games!

They go back to new ideas that have failed before, why not generate new ideas and try and implement them onto the hotel ~ the world is a diverse place, Habbo can't keep reverting back to ideas that have been trialled and tested. They were scrapped for a reason.
Unfortunately, it'll go ahead because the users who are influential on the client and know they will be part are friends with ludus and will easily win him over into having an Habbo council. I wonder what Lost_Witness thinks because as far as I remember he is not a fan of giving normal users privileges over other users. It creates a detrimental atmosphere. There will only be 20 or so Habbos on the council - it won't be something to aspire for. People will just use it as a popularity contest and a tool to exert their superirority over other users. L_w hated the Xs having room override and if the council were to get anything like this then it'd just be another disaster.

Blissa, I'd be up for helping reintroduce a Habbo Council/Soapbox forum to Habbo. I think it's important. I might even see if Rob (Newsletter) wants to start writing again.... or maybe not!

Ugh god why do they even think about Councils. Councils are flawed, especially a Habbo one. They are completely and utterly flawed, especially when you put a bunch of kids between the range of 11-19 in charge of it. ughhhh what is the god damn point, the politicians of 30 odd cant do a council properly (parliament lols) so why does Habbo need to have an unnecessary one.
THAT IS WHY HABBO CLUB WAS CREATED YOU TARDS :@ :@ :@
oh and plus, lost_witness is completely against councils, I know that from personal fact cuz he used to hate callies one, and just disliked the idea as it created social groups which divided people (unlike little habbo groups before anyone makes a joke about it). UGH WHY WHY WHY DO IT. SERIOUSLY ITS A BIG FAT FAILURE WAITING TO HAPPEN :@
Mind you if they reintroduced the Soapbox that wouldnt be bad.

Soapbox was the best, but they could never make it as awesome as Dionysus did.

I dont really like the idea of other Habbos being above others. I think everyone should be at the same level, equality.
But if it does happen then it needs to be something where people are just using it as a 'IVE GOT A NEW BADGE, IM HABBO COUNCIL, I'M FAMOUS, YOU SUCK NOOBS'
Need to be people who are dedicated and generally nice.. and by nice I dont mean people who are nice when people with Habbo staff badges enter a room.

Lol I was actually in the Habbo Council and we did sit around talking about naff all and basically just pretending to be high and almighty. What a waste of time. My advice is that if there is habbo council "meetings" to be held then minutes should be taken which are shown in the "newsletter" (another flop when I was around). Post Callie, I.E - Jibbi it was never "us and them" referring to the habbo staff as "them". You could talk to them because they wasnt up their own arse about their badge so why go back to a system where other habbos are inferior to others.
