Hey Guys! I was wondering how I can stop my mum from getting my school to give me a needle, I have a small phobia of needles, and I really am scared of them. how can I stop her from giving the school this note thingy?
If you and your mum turn around and outright refuse, the school cannot force you to have it. However I would highly recommend getting the jab - whatever it is for, because they are only given to you for your protection. Overcoming a small phobia and a bit of pain is the better thing to do to stop yourself developing something horrible in the future.

I agree with this. Depending on what the jab is for, you should most definately have it. For your own protection. But if it REALLY bothers you just tell your mum you really don't want it done, and see what she says. Or at the least, try and over come your fear. It's not always as difficult as it may seem hun.

Garion and Meree are right, you should at least try to overcome your fear, the jab isn't that long and it only feels like a little jab (the word I originally used, *****, was filtered xD!) which isn't all that painful, also if you get it in your writing arm, you can claim you've got a dead arm and try to get out of writing, thats what I did ;). But yeah, the jabs are only there for your protection and its best you get them as soon as you can. But in the end, like Garion said, the school can't force you into getting them, if you tell your mum and she's fine with it, she can contact the school and refuse it.

im scared of needles but i hate looking silly so i jsut take it :P
suppose you're more scared than me haha.
Its a pinch for a second, it really is nothing. I see you have a phobia but like its been repeated above, flaunting a little jab or running the risk of getting seriously ill? Which is highly possible without the jab.
I don't want to tell you how to avoid it because i'd feel better that i've encouraged you to take it than avoid it and get a serious problem.
honestly none of them hurt, just go in, sit down, don't even look at it and you will laugh afterwards.

Seriously they don't hurt. I'll be honest here and however sad this is going to sound it helped me :D I was afraid of needles, watched James Bond ageeeeeeees ago and saw him get injected and it didn't hurt him, and by ages I mean years ago, and it for some reason got me over the fear. Now I don't mind needles.
Same goes for hights. I had a fear, then started watching WWE ages ago and saw Jeff Hardy on Ladders and stuff and that got me over my fear of hights. I don't know why that works for me but it does for some reason.
Anyway, they really don't hurt. I'm going to India for 3 weeks at Christmas and I have to get my injections for that, all 3/4 of them but I don't mind anymore really, whilst before I'd be peeing myself.
So... Watch James Bond, specifically Casino Royal and FF to about 30 mins in :D!
i agree with everyone nearly lol
take the needle because if you dont u have the risk of infection and if you get that u will have to have MORE needles if u get the infection more than likely so whats its gonna be one needle or many needles?
tip: just look away dont even look at the needle put ya hand over ya eyes if its a private room but if its not and u dont want ppl to see u dont like needles just stare in to one spot and focuse on that spot untill its done
I would just not hand the form in once my mum has signed it. Hence why my mum mailed it to the school i have a small fear and had mine last thursday and seriously fuss over nothing if im honest didn't feel it go in or out and it just flt like i had been punched the day after for about a day. Lol. Keep your arm moving after the injection it moves it around the muscle and reduces pain don't tense and don't worry (this causes adrenaline which will increase ur pain)

Just think one day, this jab may save your life, and if you don't have it you will be kicking yourself so hard :eusa_wall
Polio is serious my nan and my great aunt got it, one of them had it worse than the other but even the least affected (nan) still had to be in hospital for over a year (ages ago mind) and then was refused entry to all the sports teams
Overcome your fear and just let them do it

ask them if you can take it up the bum
the jab not nefing else
I had this 2 weeks ago, it felt like someone pinching you for about half a second, then that was it. Just one small needle.
I/'ll be honest, i was a bit hesitant to have it, but once it was over and done - I laughed at myself.

lol i had this injection done a year ago, trust me, its that small its ridiculous, lets just say it is just as big has a babys finger, literally they stick it in, 2 seconds its out. Thats it, nothing bad about it, very simple.

Having an injection is like having sex, the prikc quickly enters your body, inserts a little bit of liquid in your body and then bam, it's all over.

LOL Thats brill.
I hate when they say, you will just feel a little *****. I feel like saying, you will feel a slight ***** in your ****en face if you come here with that needle, im kinda like this because I got one in my mouth ages ago. The person done it 2 times because the first he missed. And when he pulled my tooth out it ****en stung lol :P.

You're best off just having it done mate! It might be hard because of your phobia, but it'll be worth it, honestly! :)
Good luck! :)

Wow, remember the days when a needle was my biggest problem :P. I remember being terrified as well but honestly, it doesn't hurt at all and it's over before you realise.
If you chicken out now, in a few years you'll look back and feel like a complete idiot. Especially if you get any of the diseases it's supposed to be vaccinating against.

uh im really scared of jabs aswell but you just have to think it could save your life or help you or w/e i dno what the jab is so, try not to look, don't tihnk bout it before, keep our mind of it or your mind will just make it worse. Talk to the person whos giving you the jab and engage convo with em. :)

Or just think about it this way, have the jab have one needle going into you, don't get it done, become ill and have to have lots of bloods tests which means many more needles being stuck into you.
BRAH this sounds exactlylike me in grade 8 i thought i was going to die cuz i hate needles so much like id rather get punched in the face 5 times and have a donkey eat my privates instead of getting a needle, but tbh it rly doesnt hurt and its over in like 2 seconds so just DUN worry and it'll be fine
