View Full Version : SAW VI

Well I saw it about 24 hours ago and I was pleasantly surprised. The films have gone downhill in order of which they've been produced, which naturally is how someone would lose faith in the series, but in all honesty SAW VI is up there with the first sequel, which I thought was a pretty good film. A solid story that actually took you back into it rather than SAW V which was just so pointless. I noticed how there were very few flashbacks to V. I wonder why...
If somehow you love them all, you'll probably love this entry like the first. If you were like me and lost faith in them because of how drawn out it had become, I emplore you to take a chance on SAW VI, and I hope you are similarly surprised.
Unfortunately David Hackl, the director of the fifth installment is directing SAW VII, which is going to be shot in 3D. Hopefully the writer(s) can pull out something as good story-wise as V, and not something that just relies completely on the gimmick, because it's unneeded.

In my point of view, saw is poop all together.
Do they have purpose cos in my eyes, the people that get entertained off people gettig totured is beyond believe...

The SAW films aren't scare flicks, they're just very violent.

I agree so much im going to +rep rofl. ven though the storyline may be quite intresting at points. the violence is stuopidly OTT, pretty pointless, and just an excuse to see how much they can put in withut being cut.
i have only ever seen one :) i don't really like scary things

It's gimmick is the gore rather than scares.
The story of SAW is good, but in IV and V they went off onto a tangent that just didn't work. Luckily the redeemed the series with the latest instalment.

It is a horror, as it is horrific - and horrific things scare people.

you have to see saw 1,2,3,4 and 5 otherwise you'll never get it.

I have :)
I "SAW" it (ahahhahahahahahahahhaihaihdifahsdfoaihsdf I am funny) on Sunday. I actually thought it was good - certainly, like you say, improved on some of the poorer storylines that have marred some of the sequels. It is gruesome, but it's not just a pointless Hack n' Slash!

Pazza, there's no point giving a basic storyline because there's not much to say without ruining it. There's twists and turns, etc as always, and if you have seen the previous five, then you should have the inclination to go and see the sixth to continue following the story.
The only part of Saw that interests me is not the gore, blood, torture, whatever, but the way people react in these kinds of situations.
Havent seen a Saw movie since #3, and probably wont watch the others till the series is finished.

I still haven't seen any of the series. But VII? How many of the bloody things are there going to be?!

Just watched it. It's pleasant. Much better than than 4 and 5. It clears everything up, even the stuff you didn't realise, pretty amazing. I definatley think there's going to be another one, theres so much open, however, I dont know how. There can't be any test subjects really. It would just be a showdown between the copper and the woman.
Either way brilliant film.

Read the previous posts - I said that there is a seventh in pre-production. It's going to be in 3D.

Any idea what the core story line is based on or how its going to pan out?

No idea. Lionsgate keep the SAW series extremely secretive. They make you sign embargos on every page of the script you're given so that no one can leak info. That's why the trailers show absolutely nothing except usually a hint at one trap.
