I think 'Ask the Habbox Staff' might be better off having no/less sub-forums.
It currently has eight sub-forums. Some do get regular posts, so I guess you could keep those. But the less popular one's you could delete such as 'Ask the Content Team' and 'Ask the Graphics Staff' which haven't had a post since July. Also 'Ask the Help Desk Staff' has only had two threads since July end.
So this is what I suggest:
Keep 'Ask the Forum Staff' and 'Ask the Rare Values Reporters' and delete the rest. Add Tags so users can just select the right department.
Or
Have no sub-forums and use tags for all departments.

I agree, however it's set so only those specific staff can reply to their own forum. I don't think there is a way to set permissions with prefixes / tags.
I don't think the "Ask the Help Desk Staff" section is needed though. There is already a specific forum called "[HxHD] Habbox Help Desk" which seems to be two forums having the same purpose?

I was thinking the same for HxHD, 'Ask the HxHD staff' isn't needed.
You don't need permissions, just tell the staff to only reply to their own jobs or give them a warning.

staff know what departments they work for and would only reply in the specific forums. i don't think help desk staff are going to be replying in ask the moderation team forum for example because they're not moderators. i are genius.

The problem with that is, people like to add their pennies worth and would still get involved with other matters. On the plus side it organises older queries and new ones are easily spotted by the appropriate people needing to answer them. It's not causing any harm so i don't see any immediate need for change.

I can't imagine this to be considered; but I don't think there's much point in the forum generally. I have often been searching through 'New Posts' and came across a question which I instinctively go to answer but then realise I can't because it's in the Ask Staff section.
What I'm getting at is, if there was a single forum for questions to be asked which can then be answered by any user, staff or not, many queries would get a larger response and possibly in a quicker time.
Admittedly I don't read that particular forum on a regular basis, so if there are in fact many threads which do require the sole attention of a specific member of staff, then I guess I stand corrected :P.

We actually did do it...well sort of.
Dinasaw is right, it was a forum update, its just that Matt has yet to figure out how to do it and I haven't had the time to. He keeps posting "still need to do the Ask the Staff thing" in the Management forum.
Err it should get done eventually :P

I would much rather have this too. Many times I would have been able to answer a question, but because it's to do with the Forum, or Rare Values, I can't answer it. I'd be able to answer it in HxHD, so why not here? :P
