I know roughly what our team will be and it's looking quite strong ;) Well... better than your reserves that's for sure :P There are only 2-3 players that are proper reserves. The rest are first team/subs :D

Not that much of a concern, he's not exactly great.

Any predictions as to what the score could be?
Last match was 4-4 was it not?

Last Carling cup game ended 6-3 to Arsenal with Baptista scoring 4. Last Premiership game was 4-4 with Arshavin Scoring 4.
My Prediction is 5-2 with Bendtner scoring 4. Na realisticly... 3-2 to Arsenal. Our Attack is strong, defence not so much.

Yeah sorta agreed, as long as the players who are meant to play actually play, then it could be a tight game.

Andrey Arshavin :BangHead: 'twas a great game though.
I reckon we'll be paying against a better team than on Sunday, and if I'm honest I wasn't too confident before United even. So I think we'd be lucky to get a 2-1.

Thing I've got some minor tears in my muscle in my for-arms or I've pulled the badly, not too sure. Don't think a night at COMS in the area I sit will do me any good.

Looking at both sides, not got a good feeling. The first teams are quite even but Liverpool have a much stronger bench. Hm..

Good game. 2-1 to us and I think we deserved it but Liverpool played very well. Very close at the end. Aquilani looks quite decent and great to see Nasri!

I went the pub but in the end didn't get to concentrate on most of the game. What I did see was so frustrating though, it was like we were too relaxed or something because we just weren't doing anything with our chances. I reckon we had too many young guns out (Rafa will never learn :P). Don't get me started on Babel and Veronin. Not to mention Veronin was doing Torres' job. I can't understand why Benitez wouldn't just throw Torres on for the last 5 minutes (if he'd been a sub of course!). :l Insua's first goal for the club wasn't too bad though! :O Instead of making a "the referee crumbles again" thread (regarding the handball penalty claim for instance), I'll just say well played the Arsenal.

How can Liverpool have young guns may I ask?

Can't blame Rafa for putting a half young side out. He has two very important games coming up and no point playing the big stars. And he didn't want to risk Torres as without him chances are you'd be out of the Champs League. A team without Gerrard and Torres against Lyon has a slim chance of winning.
Also, as the post above says Liverpool don't have 'young guns' ;)
Plus your team wasn't that inexperienced. You had probably 3-4 proper young players and a decent bench.
We had a very young bench and about 4-5 young players.
You just lacked that finish to be honest, but you created a lot. Liverpool need to invest in another finisher :P

so near and yet so far.
and if one team dominates the match, thus thrashing the other team it becomes samey and boring to watch making the match uninteresting.

I just meant generally young/inexperienced. Either way we had a **** team out :P. But yeah I agree, we created a lot but lacked the finish. We should sell Veronin, Lucas and Babel and buy someone who is nearer Torres' standard. I still think he should have been on the bench so Rafa could bring him on for the last 10 minutes. He leaves all his subs too late as well.
