Just finished watching it and I have to say... you can so tell that it's an ultra low budget film. It was alright, watchable at least. It takes a while to get into the film but once it does - it was alright. Poltergeist still reigns supreme when it comes to this sort of thing though although for a low budget it was very well done.

One noticeable thing though:
The knife he used in the first 10/20 minutes or so is the same knife she killed him with - I picked up on that as soon as I saw it the first time. I knew that knife would have some part to play in it.
Epic spoiler above.

I'd say about a 6/10.

A film's first real Twitter success story. It's two years old. Thus far it appears from most reactions that it doesn't live up to the hype.

I'm not interested in seeing it, I'm sick of cinema verite.

Indeed made for $15,000 and shot in the director's (I use that word loosely) house. The film is 2 years old and had been touring festivals, sat on the shelf and then got picked up for distribution. Its success is all thanks to Twitter. Don't bet that the few involved in the production are getting much money at all - they would have probably signed a weak deal out of desperation to get the film out there, so 99 percent of the money will be the distributor's.

I didn't like it because it didn't affect me. I didn't jump once, and that's all the entire film relies on. It's like The Blair Witch Project - if it doesn't scare you, it's got sod all else to utilise to entertain, although Blair Witch is in fact a rip-off.

I'm happy for the film-makers and it's a big gold star for independent cinema, but I'm really sick to death of the cinema verite style of film-making now. It's been milked heavily in the last 2 years.

Also, the ending shown in cinemas and DVD is a happier Hollywood ending shot recently. There are 3 endings in total, and the original is far bleaker.

I'm really not a fan of "horror" movies, especially at the cinema because if you do jump, it's due to the audio rather than the visual.

It was left to audiences' imaginations, however, this is the popular belief:
that building was an old house that a guy used to keep little girls and kill them in the corner (where the dude was at the end) and apparently it was he who killed her and they were in it all along, just to get her killed and rake in the money from the story etc etc - he had the map all along and he kept leading the pack (making sure they go round in circles)

anyway, that was a stupid film and this is a stupid film.

Oh I see. I never read into it before and I didn't even watch it properly if I'm honest.

yet again...

This film was good, however the first half dragged a bit because not much happened. The seocnd half was much better. Not really a horror though, much more of a 'jumpy' film. worth watching if youre bored though :)

it's alright, i saw it today. i kinda like the story line, but it seems to start off slowly, and then end pretty quick.

i did like the whole shooting with one camera, though.

oh, but it did only have 3 characters.

I just watched the film, wasn't as good as i expected. But for such little money you cant expect big things to happen.

What are the other endings tho?

The one I saw was she killed him with the knife and then the cops ended up coming in and shooting her

Ohh. People saw the original. The version I saw was the guy getting thrown at the camera, and then the girl sniffing his body and attacking the camera.

/shrug.

Terrible movie.
