I think he's talented and you can see that he has potential when he played against Real Madrid. I don't think Kaka was like him at his age but his price tag is something like £40 - £60 Mill? Would be a risky investment for any Club. (Man City) :P £20 Million then + Millions after a few years, depending on how well he does.
I think someone will sign him, Chelsea most likely destination or Real Madrid but i'm sure someone will sign him before the World Cup because his value would of rocketed by time it finishes.

He's worth the money seeing as he's only 20. Seen him quite a few times. He is pacey, skillful, and has a great finish. Saying that, I can't see him doing well outside Serie A. AC doesn't really suit him though so it wont surprise me if he moves. I think around the £35 Million is right. He is better than Benzema who was £30. Good talent anyway.

City will not be purchasing Pato.

Chelsea are very interested in him, Ancelotti used to be his manager - so I wouldn't be surprised if he went their. I'd love to see him in this league though, hot prospect... even though he doesn't make the Brazil squad. (lets face it, they could field 20 national teams, so theres no embarrassment in that)

I can't see why anyone would think City would think of buying him, let alone paying that much for him. With the exception of Robinho, what other major signing have we made outside of the Premier League in the last two summer transfer windows?

You will buy from abroad soon enough, wouldn't be surprised if you showed Fergie the middle finger and signed both Silva and Villa, could just see the backpage headlines.

But buying players like Ribery, Kaka, Villa etc won't happen to City I don't think for a good few years. Firstly because they will simply have no interest in our club and secondly because I think that Hughes seems to be looking currently for players who he knows can perform well in the Premier League. Buying some of the best players in the world can be risky though, and Shevchenko is a good example.

Torres? Kaka almost went to you, AC accepted the offer, and Kaka just moments away from signing on the dotted line.

Why would Torres leave Liverpool though? Kaka stopped signing for us when he realised how much of a step down it would be realistically to his career and possibly reputation. (leaving for money)
I'm a bit annoyed with the Kaka situation as he said he wouldn't join us for respect to his club AC Milan and he wanted to stay for the fans. So he leaves for Real Madrid pmsl. In my eyes I see that he might have wanted to leave AC Milan but changed his mind about leaving them for City and made a correct choice in leaving for Real Madrid.

I meant Torres has been a success since he left Spain.

Good on Kaka for not going to City. Also you can't say you haven't tried to sign anyone big when you did try to sign Kaka :P Real Madrid are the most reputable team in the world so if he wanted to go there I don't think anyone can blame him. Plus AC needed the money I think. There was probably only two teams he would have considered going to other than Milan, Barca and Madrid so fair enough if he went.

Ah OK, but not all players have been as successful as he has though, so it is kind of a gamble.

We tried to sign Robinho because of his upset at Madrid and we successfully bought him, we tried getting Kaka as we may have seen Milan capable of selling him for the money, we tried buying Eto' as Barcelona were looking to sell him and we tried buying David Villa as Valencia really need the money, but unfortunately they tried to take too much of an advantage of our wealth and they lost out on selling him to us.
So they're are big named players we have tried buying, but they are all players that we may have a chance of actually buying because of the problems they have at their clubs. Other than them players, we haven't tried getting players that are happy at they're club and unlikely to leave for a team not even in the Europa league. :P
