Please don't move this, no-one ever looks in the Computer Games forum and those who do won't play this game.

So yeah, I paid and pre-ordered last week after playing to demo, just pre-loading it now from Steam and it's available at midnight tonight, apparently.

It's just so awesome.

Nope. Getting a new computer soonish so no point me buying it and going through the trouble of deactivating it then reactivating it to find out it wasn't properly deactivated so I'll be buying it when I get the new computer.

I'm fresh out of squid so I'll happily wait about a month then get it. In the mean time, I'll play the **** out of FM09.

Jordie

You'll love it mate, just so realistic. Usually quite a few errors on the main release but the patches usually sort most of them out:)

I've got CM2010 which is pretty good. Haven't played it that much though.

If you like that, you'll love FM. CM is the literal dog's ******** - ie not good.

To be fair, CM have really got their act together this year and it is way way better than previous games.

People saying that FM has changed this year and isn't as good as previous years. I won't know the difference but it better not be confusing. :(

Doesn't matter how encrypted you think you are, your ISP will spill all.

StefanWolves
29-10-2009, 05:08 PM
They can't get past the SSL to see what I have been downloading, fact.

Also, did I mention, Usenet is totally legal?

So, so naive.
Not naive, at all. Not one bit. It's pretty simple, SECURE Socket layer (SSL), which basically means if it's running via SSL all communications on the internet are encrypted and cannot be seen.

Just link them to this thread.
I agree! :P

av u erd of an ip address?

StefanWolves
29-10-2009, 05:21 PM
Do you not get it? course I know what an IP address is. But that doesn't make any difference to this at all, they (Virgin Media) would check the incoming traffic via my IP, and they'd see an SSL connection, they wouldn't have a clue of what was being transferred through that SSL connection, because guess what?

IT'S SECURE!!

Better than Robert Stevens? 118 England caps 116 England goals becoming Tottenham's all time top scorer before hitting 30. He was epic.

Is there a FM08 or 09 layout to pick? I didn't really like the new one when I played the demo.

Geraint
02-11-2009, 06:21 PM
If I install it via steam will the internet be used everytime I want to play it? Don't want the internet to be used everytime I play it as I'll take up the bandwidth. :P

Geraint

sorted now but you can post for the extra post count if you want just like im doing now. :D

I'll post some screenies up in a bit. Got a game with Man City, Portsmouth, Birmingham and Palace.

Pompey are up **** creek just like in reality, good game if anyone wants a challenge... you've got to get mid table!

Geraint

Finding it hard to find my way round as I've never played it before. Cardiff have a budget of £0 and a remaining wage budget of about £5,700. :(

adaym
02-11-2009, 10:27 PM
Anyone fancy a 3 year Portuguese challenge? I did it with a mate on 09 and he won by 1 trophy :(.

lBlue
03-11-2009, 05:15 PM
I'll do a challenge, preferably in England somewhere...

adaym

Neither do I but it's a good place for challenges.

lBlue
03-11-2009, 10:35 PM
But it's crap. :(

Any other suggestions? I might do the land of crap...
