Doctor Who will return to BBC One on November 15 with The Waters of Mars.
As previously revealed (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/cult/s7/doctorwho/news/a147177/lindsay-duncan-to-star-in-who.html), the second of four specials airing throughout the year will feature David Tennant's Doctor alongside Lindsay Duncan's Adelaide.
The Russell T. Davies and Phil Ford-penned episode will also feature Peter O'Brien as Adelaide's second-in-command Ed.
It has been directed by Graeme Harper and produced by Nikki Wilson.
The episode will be followed by two more specials featuring Tennant's final outings as The Doctor before his regeneration and replacement (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/cult/s7/doctorwho/news/a139875/matt-smith-to-be-next-doctor.html) by Matt Smith.
Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars airs Sunday, November 15 at 7pm on BBC One.

Personally, I like Doctor Who, but if it wasn't for the amazingly-spectacularly-unique and exciting finale's then I wouldn't really be too interested in it - to be honest.

This is why, currently, I am extremely excited about it as we have most probably the most spectacular and heart-pounding episodes left to come as David Tennant Leaves. Bring it on!

Anyone here David Tennant on Fearne Cotton's show on Radio 1 yesterday? And On Jo Whiley's show today? Being intervied by a child no less. He should be on Jo Whiley's show again doing the "road trip" feature she does, with a special sat nav voice of John Barrowman, made me laugh today when I heard the preview.

Looking forward to Sunday night Dr who and new Top Gear, In for a right treat! :D

A decent special. It definitely is one of the darkest episodes to date. A decent cast and Tennant shows exactly why he was casted as The Doctor.

I personally cant wait to see Timothy Dalton wearing Time Lord robes in one of the next specials!!!!!

Doctor Who and the Cabin Fever rip-off.

i enjoyed the episode, but i litterally fell ill half an hour before it was on, so my understandings of it are small.

My questions are, the robot, he went through a fountain of water, then onto earths snow, where the infection could spread, unless they use the fact the sun on mars surface evapourated the water.

And i think the ood are the official masters of the universe, they observe and never act, like everything with a power of the universe should do.

Personally I think it's completely useless, but each to their own. Regardless, the writer is clearly an Eli Roth fan.

. But Doctor Who is an amazing show its got its little family, start with mrs sarah jane when your like 5, then the adventures with the doc when your like 12, then your naughty with captain jack in your older, you dont get many other shows where youve got loads of kids playing it, unlike doctor who, xD

personally, these last 2 dr who episodes will no doubt be far to complicated for young children.

but they'll get there dr who back when matt smith as postman pat becomes the dr...

I should have requested that they dress matt smith differently, why do they need to keep the long coat, christopher elceston done fine without it :l

i watched it since i was 12, but i do know more adults enjoy it, Torchwood is more teen and sarah jane is more child like.

I was 16 when it came out. Never watched Torchwood - I hate Barrowman - same with Sarah Jane, but I didn't know that was a spin-off.

I'm sure RTD said that the adults should be more scared of this episode because of the changes the doctor goes through. It definitely made me scared, how the doctor tries to take control of time when time is in control of him. :(

Things did take a sinister turn - I loved how everything was out of his hands. This is dark territory - I did expect it to be more scary, but I really did LOVE IT.

The end was very touching and I loved the way the tension was built up right the way through by the fact that we were told they were all going to die. It's the first episode I've seen in which most of the main cast get killed off. Usually it's just some stranger we don't like and the rest get saved.

I liked how it ended, I liked the reference to the s4 finale with the Daleks, I liked the hints to the future - basically everything about it.

One of my favorite episodes. And the trailer. The trailer... well... the best is yet to come!

Don't forget to watch the sneek preview on children in need on the 20th of November.

It was a good episode.

I really thought he was going to leave them all to die. Loved the way the tension was building up, and the ending was great as well.

Christmas special looks brilliant, but it showed Donna in the trailer..? I thought she'd die or something if she remembered the Doctor again.. or something like that anyway. :P

Who says donna remembers? What's to say it's not a whole new donna who doesn't remember anything?

I wish there was a proper dr who CIN rather then an episode clip.

Just an edit as I've seen pretty much everyone say how amazing this episode was. I personally thought it was awful.

Because I hated her character, so did the people around me. I don't know if it is how everyone feels but certainly everyone I've talked to.

It was refreshing to have an asistant who didn't fall for the Doctor, but Tate wasn't amazing.

wasn't it revealed since the clip on the end of the water on mars episode? :P

and when rose came back they made her to smart and she had a lisp from her plastic surgury, we see her as fighting monsters with fire extinguishers not her brains.

Well we knew the New Years Day episode was The End of Time but they hadn't actually confirmed the Christmas episode name. We also knew it would be 6 words long and no one really thought it would be The End of Time, Part One because we haven't seen a title like that since Doctor Who started again in 2005. Usually we get episodes like The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances.

I suppose it's a bit obvious now you think about it because the trailer said The End of Time.
