No Sound

Okay, so I downloaded the version of SAM Broadcaster from the Tutorial on youtube. Then I added all of my songs and such, then I plugged in my mic and then when I clicked play on a song, it started playing but there was no sound! I don't think it's anything to do with the SAM because I downloaded it before on my mum's laptop and it worked perfectly, but I want to re-download only it keeps happening, I've just had my laptop repaired and it worked on it before it broke.
Oh and it worked the first time I downloaded but it said my mic wasn't plugged in.
Does anyone know why? It's really frustrating me :(

Heya,
if its all songs try this

sambroadcaster > config > audio mixer pipeline> click on theoutputs and ensure that directsound output filter is clicked and not silent

sorry for the double posting, I tried it and I made sure that all of the directsound output filter's were clicked and there's still no sound, and none of my sound effects work either

Maybe try removing sam completely and downloading it again from a different place. That may just fix the peoblem itself.

I'm not sure where else to download from, I downloaded it from the link you posted for someone else asking for links, which was the same place I got it before.

the rapidshare one? I presumed it was different cause you said you got it from a youtube thingy. I think grig posted some alternative links before though

I think both of the links were the same, they were both on rapidshare, I'll try searching the forum for links

Have you got sam 3?

No I have Sam 2, I don't know where to get 3 from otherwise I'd try that.

It's just the echo is usually something associated with Sam 3 unless you changed things on Sam 2.

I would defo suggest removing it completely so uninstalling Sam and MySQL then searching your PC for any files relating to the 2 then downloading it again as I think that's the easiest solution. I fyou remove everything it will install it all as new and won't pick up on old settings.

I've searched for everything related to Sam and there are still 2 folders named 'Help' and 'mysql' on the Local Disk, do I delete them off there too?

Yay! It works now, a HUUUUGE massive thanks for all the help, I was worried something was wrong with my laptop, but I just reinstalled and my mic works and both of the decks play music sweetly!
