I upgraded to the iphone a few months ago and I'm sick of it already lol. So my dad's agreed to take the contract over and pay it for my little brother. I'm looking for a new one that takes a decent pic, is nice to use, fashionable and not too bulky and all the usual things you'd expect.. blutooth, can listen to music ect.
Oh and how do I get these unlimited texts haha. Everyone seems to have unlimited bloody texts and I always seem to get billed for going over!
Dunno what phone to recommend... but when you get the contract just say you want a deal with unlimited texts and they'll give it to ya. A contract without unlimited texts is just pointless nowadays.

So what network's the best nowaday aswell lol. I've always been with o2
I'm with orange and they're ****. The only reason I went with them is when I first got my contract they were like the only network doing unlimited texts and I've stuck with 'em since. Stick with O2

If you go with T-Mobile then you can get the various Android phones such as: G1 (HTC Magic), G2 (HTC Hero) or the T-Mobile Pulse. T-Mobile also do a selection of HTC's Windows Mobile Phones however Windows Mobile has never really worked applications wise...
There's also a new motorola which comes out soon (I think it's the Dext) however I don't know which networks it is on, it's also android and focuses on social networking.
You could also get the new Palm Pre which is on o2 however if you're one of those people who need apps like on the iPhone then it may not be the best place to look as the launch didn't go as well as the hype indicated.
The last phones to look at are Blackberrys, however, they are buisness phones and when I was getting my phone I didn't bother looking at them.
Of course, those are all smartphones that I have suggested, you could after all get a normal phone which rings people and sends them texts

My dad had a legal fight with Orange, when they signed my sister up to two contracts without telling him. He refused to pay the bill and they said 'we will double the bill every month from now.' So my dad said 'Well I will charge you xx (can't remember exact amount) of money for every minute of my time you waste. In the end the bill hit OVER 750 pounds, over the 6 months this went on, and eventually Orange offered to cancel the unwanted contract, let us keep both phones, and we got 4 months free of the other contract.
The moral to this story is.. DO NOT GO WITH ORANGE. P

Anyway in relevence to the actual thread I would highly reccomend looking at htc phones - the HTC Touch Diamond 2 is very good (think thats the name, i forget :P)
EDIT: Chips it appears he is using a very expensive phone contract: http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/buy/SAMSUNG-I8910-HD-D45PR-FCON :P

Just because you've have a **** time with orange, doesn't mean anyone else has/will. Orange are good, they let me and my family pick deals from other networks and matched it (and done better as well), which means I got the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic for free (instead of £50), unlimited internet (you normally don't get this on £20 a month), unlimited texts and 200 minutes for £20 a month, whereas when I was first on Orange I only got 200 minutes and unlimited texts for £20 a month.

Orange have crap coverage everywhere...
Also the phone is awful for the contract that you're signed up to to be honest.

Well done, but the point is you told him not to go on Orange just because you had a bad service with them.

Is that not a good reason?
t-mobile are just amazing, i've got unlim texts, 700 mins on nokia n96 for £30 a month.
tbhhhhhh, nokia n97 is absolutely amazing. I have an iphone aswell, why don't you like it? :S
Is that not a good reason?
Is a one Mac User telling everyone not to use Windows as they encountered an error a good reason to swap?
