It is a good film.

Let's just wait for Misawa to prove us wrong.

Although I find the fact that he happens to find an old bus to live in rather ironic, it is a great film :P.

It's based on true events. Christopher McCandless was a real person and he did actually find the 'magic' bus. Turns out the bus was actually used as a hunting shelter every now and then by Alaskan hunters, so its not really ironic.

I knew it was all based on a true story, didn't realise it was that accurate though. All I was getting at is the fact he's moving away from civilisation and everything materialistic, and first thing he does is camp out in a man-made vehicle. Like I said though, amazing film.

@thyflux: I'd imagine Misawa will agree.

He's moving away from civilization but not in the sense that he's moving away from everything man-made. He's moving away from the people and the way of living. Ultimate freedom and a 'spiritual pilgrimage' is what he wanted to experience.
