I really do like this, makes a change for it to be in a bigger room. Also allows the desk to be used for events over Christmas. I kinda have to agree that its not like a regular help desk style. It was changing into a lounge-design after all..

I woudn't be suprised if it's advertised by Habbo somewhere either.

Alkaz designed it, its bloody awesome. Although I still think a smaller room would have been better but Jin disagrees as it will be used for many Habbox Functions.

Yeh, i agree with scott about if i went in there i would thing its some chill room or something it looks nothing like a help desk.

Also at the lounge thing its hardly a lounge as their increasing staff numbers again and increasing the size of the actual desk, like when sammeth owned it and it got changed to lounge staff was capped at 12 i think and the staff area was liek 4x4, it then got changed back to normal and the staff was increased again, so basically it was announced as loungue as the lower staff/are but now thats undone so...

unfortunately this isn't a joke, jake.

and darkenemy i dont get banned from hxhd m8 plus hoteluser has HC so can use chooser.

I think it's a really good design but the fact of a big room is when someone is being rude you might not be able to hear them if you're on the other side of the room. :P

Jin owns the room and because Alkaz is a great room designer? The room looks great but its not ideal as a Help Desk.

You're more than welcome to critisise the layout. It is currently the winter theme which can easily be adapted to christmas and then back again after that period. Obviously, like people have said already its for events and with so many big events that people want to hold in HxHD its not always possible. Now this year it is possible and I know Jin has already said that after this layout, it will go back to the small room again.

And for the people saying about its for events blah blah, you dont know what HxHD might have instore?

well generally help desks don't have things "instore" habbox has quite an apt events department to keep the habbo users happy.

I like the room and think its an alright idea to have it big. It doesnt suit it just because its never been done before I think, thats why its a bit wierd. But over the Christmas period all departments pitch in with events, as we like to get quite a large number out there to give everyone more of a chance to get to one. I do think its quite silly to close off the gates to the snow area when there are staff in the room that can easily walk out of the staff area to moderate. But they've gotta do what they've gotta do.

Not all HxHD managers have had Jin make the room in the past and have spent so much time working on a layout. Things have worked in the past, but why is it so wrong to change and try new things? If this dont work AT ALL then obviously there is no reason not to go back to the old way but if it proves to be a good way for events etc in the desk then why not?

With the Autumn/Halloween layout, everyone HATED it at first because it was so different but it soon died down and people actually liked it. No one is giving it a chance to settle in and see if it works.

Hate to go against the trend but I like it (slightly OT but that big mode for big rooms is pretty cool, why couldn't they have had that when I was on :'(). Actually having space for events is good for both departments and yeah it's laid out really nicely. The only questionable thing is the BBQ, is that there for a joke? :P

No one said he has "super room designing" skills. Please stop trying to cause an argument. The room design is great, it's upto Jin on the room size so if you want to flame someone, flame Jin and not Alkaz.

Once again, no one has said that Alkaz has (and Alkaz has not claimed to have) "SUPER DUPER creative skills". All he has done is tried his best to help Habbox. People would have moaned if it was just a normal non-themed help desk all year round. Now that they get themed rooms, they moan once again. The thing is, most of you don't ever visit HxHD anyway ...
I have always been against the idea of a big helpdesk, but don't flame Alkaz for it.
And I think your habboween furni is still in :Jin:'s account. I hope that answers your question as to 'where it is'.

Yes the big room is not really ideal for a help desk and I disagree with the idea of hosting competitions there but theres nothing we can do now. The chances of the room being changed are extremely slim. Just post your opinions and I am sure they will take it into consideration after the Winter season is over.

Its a bit obvios most users don't like change, a big desk was a risk and I think it paid off, you just have to get used to it and I think you'll all start liking it. If you dont like it, please dont post 'its ****' post something constructive so we can try work on it as we want to make it as good as possible.

The issue with the door closing was that from the staff area you cant see what they're saying, we're trying to get this sorted asap so its all fine :)

Alkaz designed the desk along with me and jin, yes he did most of it but we all chipped in so stop whining at him and again post sumit constructive so we can improve.

Oh and halloween layout was amde by a few of us.

First time I've seen it and I think it's a very nice room. Closing off the events area is fair enough when it's not in use, but then again, doing so just makes the size of the room unnecessary. This could be done in a seperate room for use as required. However as it's only for the Christmas period, I think it brings a pleasant change and is great as it is.

The gate area doesn't stay closed all the time, visitors can go in the winter area, when super staff are there to open the gate.
